I understand why companies subscribe to the preorder model but I don’t want any part of having money upfront. I think it’s one thing to have money down a week or two before product is out the door but too much can change in any given time.

I think moving forward I’ll post up a “who’s interested” type of thing so I can gauge how large of a production run I need. What are your thoughts?

Pretty good plan IMO. My beta version is still operating perfectly with no known faults or desirable changes. I, like many others here, are ready for another set from your planned production run.

I don't blame you. This is too much of a niche product to get a good feel on stock runs. The waiting list is best.

But what you could do is go ahead and invest $100K in your own water jet, break, and powder coater. Then you only need to get every early hundy owner in the world to buy about 10 sets each and you'd be a 1/5 of the way to breaking even. (I didn't do the math)

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen WE ARE A GO FOR LAUNCH!!!! I have upgraded my account and am waiting for the approval. Brackets are back from powdercoat and I have hardware to ship 7 kits now. Actually as soon as my Mud account upgrade is approved. More hardware is arriving later in the week so the other 9 from this first run will be availabe next week.

The first 7 PPL that have raised their hands are: Dziobak, bonestock, Classic Jalopy, Greenbean, 213374U, implayaz9, firefightermtn. If you guys are still interested send me your info such as NAME, ADDRESS, and EMAIL ADDRESS so I can get these sent to you and email you a tracking number. If you dont mind please email cottagecruisers@outlook.com.

These will be $100, plus tax, plus USPS flat rate priority. Last set I shipped out were $8 I beleive. I'm going to use Pay Pal as it seems pretty universial and secure.

Looks good! What shelf are you using? I noticed it has a center rib/truss running through it? Is that one of the Container Store shelfs?
