I spend an hour driving along the coast to the office, I spend 10 hours doing system management on our software and being the sole purchasing manager for a multi-branch retail building supply company, then I drive an hour home along the coast...

Uh as I recall there are a few places in Vegas that are already like that.
To test this out try to get away with something in any casino and see how long it takes for security to nab your ass.
BTW Sin, how the hell are you going to tap your own water? Last I heard Lake Mead was going down faster than a ten dollar hooker.

I`m currently looking for property in Utah ( although there`s still no guarantee there will be water there in the future either

This will include water vessels and they're pushing for Private Aircraft compliance as well.

Ski instructor, dog trainer, singer-song writer... I tend to bore easily and reinvent myself about every 5 years! This week its supplier/distibutor to the circuit board and metal finishing industry (family biz). Last 5 years was running an off-leash dog walking company - 15 employees, 75 dogs a day, five mile hike, home/office pick up and drop off. Crazy Californians work so much that they cant even walk thier own dogs!!!

Thats in a place of biz run by the owner. Its security that comes to greet you. In england its run by da gubmint.

Thank God telecom is starting to come-back, because it's been brutal the past 6 years.

I have a PhD in Molecular Biology/Genetics and did various forms of cancer research for about 16 years (including graduate work). Now I stay home with our two young kids and change diapers, wipe noses and use the Cruiser for what it was really built for: trips to the grocery store, preschool and the coffee shop!
By the way, my wife paid for it - she's a dentist. She pays for the coffee too.
And we do use the Cruiser off road, in the snow, and to haul our boat. But everyone knows those things really push the limits of its capabilities.

It pays the bills, but there are about a zillion other things I would rather do with my time. Hi ho, hi ho...

Ph.D in electrical engineering from Cornell U specializing in information theory, lived 6 winters in Central NY & loved it (all but the salted roads) despite living in So. CA for 24 yrs. Used to develop image/video coding algorithms/standards for major US and Japanese corporations (the video/imaging used in HDTV, on cell phones, in digital cameras uses these algorithms). Now I'm a missile engineer, lot more fun!
LX is my 4th car in 21 yrs: First car was a '84 toyota SR5 extracab mini 2wd w/ 22re I bought in '86 for $5.7K, drove it 10 yrs and sold it for $2K. Second car was my father's hand-me-down '86 4Runner w/ 22re I received in '00 w/ 93K (been in the family since new, $15K back then). After mods and lots of driving, it has 205K mi, still going strong and is my DD. Third car is a '01 Honda prelude SH (wife's DD), fourth car is the LX weekend/road-trip car (baby's car...I just pay the bills & do the maintenance!)
