grog no problem.

my reply is somewhat staggered by spaces trying to mirror responses above, without all the
quotes right next to the reply. (i hate long threads with constant quotes of whole replys)

I am not going to enter into the current "discussion" except to say that in my book the dual mini cases belong at the bottom of the list as discussed above. My buddy, Desmond of the Cascade Cruisers has broken three output shafts of the rear mini case in tha last three outings. His mini has a 4.3 Vortec, 44" tires and Dana 60 axles. The transfer case is clearly the weak link in this drivetrain. It might be fine on 38" tires but above 40", I would not go that route.

I am heavy, but I do like the strength of the 203/205 combo and with my larger hydro-assist ram, I am pretty happy with my D60 axles.

I reused the push/pull TRE's that came with my front 60. They are both 7/8" have a TON of angularity to them and in great shape. plus they are readily available and cheap.

I am still not convinced on the aparentl weaknesses on a mini tcase. individuales like Camo on the pirate board have beaten the holy hell out of theirs. Te input upgrade is under $200 and the output upgrade is ~$240. Additionally the new toy that Marlin is coming out with is a Front dig Toyota Tcase that will have 32 spline outputs front and rear..

I did break the input shaft to my second tcase when I blew up my rear axle upper link. However, that was a BIG shock to the system. And if I had just gone 23 spline it probably would not have broken at all. But only time will tell. I did not put th 60/14 bolt in my truck to pussy foot it around :D

And I do believe in the strength of Longfields ;)

The high angle draglink TREs is what i think your talking about.

I have seen pics of the inner knuckles with those braces needed for the
custom knuckles but damn if i can find that thread again.

I think its time for a mini case discussion, new thread

I have not been able to find a pic either.
Not too many have ponied up for WB's knuckles..
