Hi, I have started processing of transplant 1HDT 12V engine from 80 series to 105 series.
2 questions:
1. I am looking for after market turbo charge that will increase the engine power (as much as can).
2. I am looking for after market intercooler that will fit to the front of the car and not just to the top of the engine (the intercooler should fit To the 105 front).

much appreciated your assisting
thanks

Hello,
You might want to check the Facebook HDFTE conversion page for more info. Or try posting here but in the diesel section. There is some info but not a lot. Use the search function too.

on the 1HDT - you can increase boost upto 18 psi on stock turbo and internals safely, power gains are significant - you'll have to adjust the boost fueling on the injection pump

regarding the intercooler, you can use the 1hdfte 100 series diesel intercooler, it will fit bolt on - you'll have to make the piping though.

Gturbo or UFI for the turbo and PDI for the intercooler.

Stock turbo is safe to 15psi, you'll run out of fuel at early-mid 20 PSI boost range depending on your turbo selection.

Before doing anything like this, you need a Pre-Turbo EGT gauge and boost gauge.

I can't see your location from your profile, if you give us this we might be able to help more.
