Have a 2003 105 series i picked up that was sitting for years. It had heaps of mositure inside. I've stripped everything inside and have water leaks on both sides from the rear side windows - leak is about 3/4 way along towards the rear. Is this a common issue, and whats the fix? Remove the window and new seals?

Thanks

Pic of where leak runs down. And it's a lot of water leaking when I apply with hose from outside

It doesn’t look like there’s a motor on the window so is that window actually closing tightly?

Is the water coming through that window surround seal? How is it fixed in place? Not much else there other than the under window molding but that’s not really a seal per se.

I'm not 100% sure where its coming, all i know is when i spray water at the top of the window, it runs in a stream down the inside of the vehicle about where my finger is pointing. I've never removed windows, and haven't had a good look at how it might be removed. I also haven't looked how the seal might be removed - assume its glued in some way?

From factory it is motorized and opens and has a soft seal like a door. You are going to have to direct that water directly at the seal close up and see where it’s bad. Try not to get any on the roof or in the side body vent. Then just dig in…. It’s modded so who knows how it’s rigged up. You can look into a “proper” reseal, getting back to stock, or an aftermarket panel with a wide opening.

I really don't think anything is motorised in this rig. It's a 2003 gxl. Manual winding windows and minimal electronics. This is just the window in the rear storage area

Gotcha, I wasn’t aware. If you pull the upper trim in the hatch it might reveal the leak.
