Anyone out there have a GTurbo injection pump for the 1-HDT? Or even a freshly rebuilt pump? Looking to replace the pump on my 80 before I install new injectors. Would like to get one ready to swap in and just sell my old pump.

I'm looking for a stock 1HDT pump. Keep me in mind if you do sell yours.
My cruiser has almost 500K km on it, but pump looks like it’s been reworked at some point. It would probably be a better candidate for a rebuild than a drop in pump. Once I get it off the truck I’ll have a better idea what condition it’s in.

Forgot to add: I have not deleted the ACSD, but no problems at the moment with cold starts.

Yah, I would like to send it out to GTurbo but not keen on the idea of shipping it halfway across the world and back, plus the delay to rebuild it. My cruiser is my daily, so trying to minimize the downtime by finding something that’s drop in ready. Somebody somewhere must have a stock pump or a GTurbo sitting around.

Back40 will rebuild your pump for $1850, but that includes an $850 core charge. So you’d need to have a core first.

Give them a call. You could probably buy one, receive it, send them yours, and get a core refund.

Or send yours to one of the US-based rebuilders

Honestly if you sold me yours the first thing I'd do is send it the guys in Portland, I think they are called Diesel Fuel Injection Service.

I’ll give GTurbo a call tonight and see if they have anything off the shelf. Hoping that they do. Otherwise, I may have to figure out how to find a core and ship to someone stateside to rebuild. I’d be willing to agree to ship my old pump to whoever I buy from if that’s a dealbreaker.

I'm a bit confused - isn't your current pump a good candidate for a rebuild? Or a core if you wanted to buy a rebuild?
Sorry for the confusion, yes my pump is a good candidate for a rebuild and it’s in my daily commuter. The only issue is that I don’t have a spare vehicle if I have to pull the pump. Haven’t found anyone yet who has a pump off the shelf, or a spare. Even if I had to buy a core to send off to get rebuilt it would save me the downtime.

One thing to consider though is you generally want to have the injectors and pumps adjusted together so they flow correctly as a system.

It might cost a week of downtime to send all your stuff to a reputable shop to service it but you'll probably get a better outcome.

Agreed about matching the injectors to the pump. I’ve got 6 new injectors from Denso sitting in the box, just waiting to get a pump. My plan was to send the pump with the injectors to a local diesel shop before installing.

Give Jon at Black Fox diesel a call. He’s a mud member. Located in BC, Canada.
