If you want to do that then go ahead..

I see no reason to add complications like that. Additionally, you would need one hell of a wheelbase for that on a full bodied rig..

BTW, stop using caps in the first letter of each word you use. It is getting obnoxious :flipoff2:

Um i'll try to force my self not to type in caps.... but, the mounts can be anywhere, i'm planing to move my axle back 4-5 inches for longer links, and i can put the end of the spring farther forward on the frame ith a side mount bracket... t should'nt be to hard, i still have my stock rear springs...

hey man post a new pic!!

this past Sat i got a 1989 Fj62 as my dd so i can build my 40 up even more im looking at a 4 link

or

just turning the springs around for now, making the wheel wells taller and wider in the back, S/R the front and do 4.88 gears, but both i have to save for!

glad to hear the NEW plan cam:grinpimp:

this sounds like it's going to be a lot better.

so how long do you think your links are going to be now??

i'm at 101" and with the new 40" MTR's the tires are about 1 inch behind the bumpers, my approach and departure angles are almost 90*.

112" is gonna be a loooooong truck;) lets see the pics when you get them

sorry to be a dick, but this plan sounds a lot more thought out and BEEFY:grinpimp: BEEFY is good, right?

I used 1 1/4" OD X 5/16" wall DOM tubing ,then you end up with a .625 ID and you can just tap it for 3/4" fine thread.

The Only Problem I Have With That Is If It May Happen The Heim Yanks Out Of The Pipe Ruining All The Threds... There For You Need A New Peice Of Pipe... Weld In Insertd You Can Just Cut Out The Insert And Replace It Other For About 10.00$ Instead Of Have To Buy New Pipe And Det It Threaded Again....

Just Trying To Think Long Term....

If you pull the heim out of your links you have more extensive problems than rethreading the link..

45" links are plenty long IMO.. Don't forget, the longer you make 'em, the stronger they need to be in order not to bend when you put weight on them while sitting on a rock.. not to mention that they WILL find their way into the rocks more often, because they hang down more...

Just my $.02 again..

OTOH, where you wheel, a looong WB may more than offset the downsides.. around here, at 101-ish on 38.5's, I don't wan't to go any longer.

There is a differance in the diameter debate, Mine is 4 linked in the front and rarely have to drag them over rocks like the rears in yours Woody

Never had a problem with ruining threads, the heim breaks before that happens

Fronts typically see less stress than the rears..

Niner, can you post a pic of your setup?

It is in storage and I don't have too many good shots of it, but I'll look.

When I did mine doing the front of a vehicle was unheard of and little info was availible. Street rod guys where just starting to get comfortable with the idea.
