Hey Guys,
Can someone point me to a thread on building 1/2 ambulance doors? I know I saw one and thought I saved it. CANT FIND IT.
Thinking of doing this. Or just converting to ambulance doors all together. Not sure. I know I would need to replace a lot of items to convert to full ambulance doors.
Similar to the pic below:
Thanks!

That particular tailgate/amublance door combination was manufactured by paul decker:

Can't find his exact build thread (if he had one) but maybe you could shoot him an email or something.

Not sure if any of these links were what you had saved:

@woytovich did this and I did as well. See my link below in Project Pikachu (starts at post #428).

Mine was pretty basic and I didn't overthink it. Chopped a set with lower rust in half and ran it with my OEM tailgate. Works just fine when I run my hard top.

I added a hinge to each upper door half so there would be 2 per side.

Are you glad you did it? Or do you wish you would have went full ambulance doors? Thanks for the info!

My original ambulance doors were trashed, so I used it as an opportunity to make use of a tailgate that works with both a hard top or a soft top.

I probably wouldn’t have made all the effort if my amby doors had been in better shape, but this was also a good way to repurpose some rusty old ones and to use an old OEM tailgate that had been sitting on the shelf.
