A friend just bought a new '11 and his display is different than my '08 display. I like his better. Is there a way to upgrade the ('08) s/w; factory-wise or hack-wise?

From Toyota it will cost an arm and leg - I would opt for an after market system. Here in the middle east I can get them fro about $600 - GPS/DVD/XVID/Bluetooth/Card Games/even has 3G with web browser.

I can upload pics of mine in about an hr to show you. (mine is currently in a Pajero but the TLC is the same just different plastic adapter)

what is the brand name of your aftermarket kit?

Tell you the truth it's one of those "has no name" taiwan companies that have it made in china. My company buys a large number of them each month so they come with my company logo and name on the menu. However most of them have no label and just the Toyota logo on the background.

I am currently in a morning meeting but should be out within the hr and I can upload the pictures I took this morning for you to look at

thanks kenn always helpful

does your company produce custom modifications upon request? I wish to do a window delete option

I will upload the newer images tonight when I get home (FTP ports and FB is blocked here in the office).

Can you let me know what you mean by window delete option? I have a few ideas what you might mean but not sure if we are talking about the same thing or not.
