I am trying to procure a set of DT headers for my 05.....and for whatever reason there are (2) different part numbers:

1 PN for 1998~2004 and a second PN for 2005~2008

What changed from 04 to 05 to require a different part number and why is the change point at 2005 when 04 and 05 are identical (I think)

I don't know what their deal is either, it's off by one year (vvti was 06, not 05), all I can think of is that somewhere in there it's build date not model year or something. I have an 05 and have the "98-04" headers on, as i don't have VVTI and it's all good.

I asked DT this same question when I was ordering headers for my 2005. As long as you don't have the VVTi variant of the engine, you're fine with the '98-04' version that DT lists.
