From 03 on wards the radiator in the 100 series was improved by reducing the fin pitch.

Can I put an 03 or later radiator in my 01 LX470? Do they fit the same?

Seems like if you order the DENSO from Rock Auto you get the newer one with reduced pitch?

I gather that the 03 Denso will go into the 01? If so and its done, any issues? I have an 01 and live in Yuma, AZ where we have some heat issues, so I am interested in this. Is the pitch change just give you more surface area? Anything other than that?
Thanks!

I have it arriving on Thur and will post how it goes. Yes the reduced pitch increases the surface area and the heat transfer so should allow engine to cool itself better, even in Yuma and Phoenix.

Denso lists the same part number for all model years so I expect no issues fitting the reduced pitch in an 01. Everything else should be the same. I'll confirm once it's in on Thur.
