'03 mpg (1 Viewer)

well, got some prelim stats on the freeway mileage of the '03 during this last trip (all from Nav Sys monitor).

Roughly speaking, with 89 oct we were getting routinely 18 mpg with mostly US freeway (around 70 mph) and some limited stop and go (no A/C)
Mexican roads gave us about 17mpg w/o A/C (rougher roads?)
A/C on full time gave close to 1 mpg less.
Going from 60 to 70 average also seemed to drop at least 1 mpg

Interestingly, got some gas in Flagstaff (76 brand 89oct) which seemed to give much better mileage than others (got well over 18 mpg with a fair number of stop and go) (this some sort of special high altitude formulation?)

this with an estimated 300 lbs of luggage and 450 lbs of bodies

not too bad eh

Ahhh... thanks for that. I read it as MPG for "trip(s) taken in 2003."

Sometimes you can abbreviate yourself beyond clarity.

As an ex Jag owner I would say that the a/c on any vehicle would reduce your mpg by at least 2 mpg. Or is it that jag a/c are more thirsty than Toy ones? (question not intended to hijack the thread!)
