You can use one of the bolts on the bracket. That's the way I have it on my 40. All you need is one of these flat stock pieces.

You can have it Lee, thought the '78 had the integrated seat belt stuff ...

Thanks!
Tucker

Too late. I thought you were taking it. I already made other arrangements.

Dave says you can use that roll bar with seat belts. See his previous post re using an adapter.

That's the way I rigged mine, plus the L bar on the bottom bolt holding of the rollbar to mount the belt retractor. Way better than what I used to do with the top off.

Heads up: 2F up for sale

MOTOR HAS BEEN SOLD!
I decided to put a 3FE on my 40 so I am selling the 2F.

This motor came from Mauricio's (Spallet here on Mud) piggy which I understand was running really strong, possibly rebuilt. I cleaned it up and painted but did not install it on my 40 so I have not heard it run.

I replaced the oil pan/side cover/timing gaskets, rear main/front seals and also have the valve cover gasket. These are all toyota oem gaskets/seals. I also have a new oem thermostat & water pump. It has a fairly new weber carb, header & comes with ps pump, alt, dizzy & maybe other stuff that I'm forgetting.

Not quite sure what the price will be yet. I have $200+ in gaskets/w-pump/t-stat etc. Any offers?

Thanks,
Luis

I have 2 Gals od "Rust-Oleum Cold Galvanizing Compound 206193"

My brother left two gals of this stuff (new unopened) for me to sell for him, $60/gal or $100/both. I thought about using this for the chasis on my 40 but decided against it.

Here's an ebay link (not mine) with the description. PM me if there's any interest.

Looking for a set of OME 861 (front) and 862 (rear) for my 80. These are the 2.5" mediums.
Used springs are fine...my current springs are OEM and have over 200K on them, so anything is better than what I got.

I don't need the shocks, but would take the steering stabilizer if its part of the deal.

cheers,
Pat

That's ridiculous. I'd fill that dash opening with a cheapo $25 dual shaft Pyle radio before I'd even think about dropping $70 on a $3 piece of plastic. The Pyle even looks sort of retro, almost like it belongs there.

FWIW, most of the reviews say this radio is crap. I just think it looks better than a blank plate, at 1/3 the cost. I probably wouldn't even hook it up. Just stick it in and mount a real head unit in your glove box, or Tuffy.

Amazon.com: Pyle PLR14MPF In-Dash AM/FM-MPX MP3 Shaft Style Dual Knob Radio with USB/SD Card: Car Electronics

Nice picture! Glad to get a reminder of what my radio looks like. I've got two of the T plates in the garage. I bought them directly from the gent that makes them. I believe I paid $30 each
