I have pretty much decided to put my Land Cruiser up for sale. I purchased the Land Cruiser in February of 2010 from a Toyota dealer in Walnut Creek, Ca. It was a certified pre-owned Toyota. I had been looking for quite some time when I located a 40K mile clean...

Ok so after reading loads of threads about the intake port being clogged near the throttle body, I removed the throttle body and cleared the passage which was indeed clogged with carbon. While I was removing the throttle body I also removed the valve. It came off after much persistence but now...
I just purchased a new to me 1994 LC. It had a lift installed by the previous owner. I ultimately want to put a 6 inch lift on it with all the necessary components as well. I figure for the time being I could change out the coils to achieve a 4 inch lift.
Currently the truck has 850J /N73L...
Im awaiting for the arrival of the three Slee skid plates. The total weight of the three skid plates is 178 pounds.
I removed the OEM front and intermediate skid. The weight for the front skid is 16 pounds The weight for the composite skid is 5 pounds
A total of 21 pounds for both pieces...
I have been reading about others blowing their differentials while attempting to wheel over obstacles. From what I can recollect is that it happens when the vehicle has little traction and bouncing up and down making contact with the surface. I can understand why this would happen with ATRAC...
Ok so Ive had this 1-2 inch gash located on the stock muffler since I purchased the truck with 40k miles. The truck was in excellent condition and appeared in like new condition. The only issue I saw when I looked over the truck was this gash.
What would have logically caused this. The...
Well currently I have front and rear slee bumpers, along with a ladder, winch, and a 35 inch spare mounted on the rear as some of you may know.
I bought the Slee medium lift kit for my truck which consisted of the 860 coils. I wanted and was curious bought adding lift. The ride with the...
So I thought I would think out loud and get some feedback from some of you more knowledgable and technical guys out here. My dilemma...I currently have 315/75/16's.
With upsizing in tires, one obvious negative side effect is the strain on the drivetrain from the larger tires. Then my next...
I have a 2004 stock rack. Will the standard roof rack work with roof top tents. If that's the case then it seems like it would be best to keep the standard rack due to weight and wind issues when not in use, not to mention the cost of a more rugged rack.
Well, not a whole lot to read here. I'm just happy I finally got the winch installed and thought I'd share my experience. Not really a need for a write-up really since it's all simple bolt-on.
So after having the 9.5xp sitting in my garage for a month or so I decided to bolt it up. I...
I have a take-off front bumper, rear bumper and OEM hitch for a 2004 thunder cloud metallic LC. If anyone lives near Central California and is interested in picking these up before I toss them.
I'm not quite sure what Slee has planned for those of us who purchase the dual swingout bumper but opt only to use one swingout. I've seen plastic covers which may serve the purpose which is to protect the metal spindle.
The idea I think would be great would to use the existing spindle...
I know this has been covered a million times but I thought I'd share my solution for those affriad of using hose clamps.
I first tried a set of CV boot clamps with a clamping tool. The clamps gave way after trying to tighten them with the tool and made the clamps useless.
I checked...
So I am considering getting a dirt bike carrier that plugs into the receiver. I've read the tongue weight of a receiver should be 10-15% of the tow rating of the vehicle. I'm curious
as to what some of you opinions would guestimate the receiver could safely carry, tongue weight wise. With...
Got the truck back with it's new shoes and lift. The ride is a little more firm, but handles much better. The stiffness is hardly noticed. The 315's are close to the control arms but no rubbing there or on the front bumper.
The bumpers are at the powder coater and with a little luck I...
I gave Slee a call yesterday to order some parts, but while speaking with them I asked if the single swing-out was in the works again. It didn't seem like they had one in the near future, but it may be possible if we could get at least five buyers to pre purchase, then maybe an order would be...
It's time for the lift. I have a bumperless truck and am going to lift it. I'm considering the 2.5 860s alone or the 860s with trim packs. Either way I'll be running 315/75/16 KM2s. If I can effectively go 2.5 in then that's fine with me. What do you'll think. I know CRUX was/is running the...
Ok so I just received my truck back from the auto shop. First off I must say that I am impressed as always with the work they did. The paint looks flawless and the four holes where the window deflector was mounted is seamless. Thats the good news. The bad news is I had the shop paint the...
