Hello
Selling my restore 1964 Toyota landcruiser fj40 FST, restore 3 years ago, new rebuilt motor, all stock.
No hagglers please, this is a very fair price.
Cheers
There is a restoration thread in the fj25 section under my screen name.
Likely needs a break adjustment. But other wise solid.

Had a flat today, pulled off the tire and fixed the tube.
I noticed radial fluid lines coming off the inside of the tire that looked like some sort of fluid, first though brake cylinder leaking...
However check the brake master cylinder and it was full...
brake cylinder leaking? or...
Hiya fellas
Mulling over the idea of switching up from a 40 to a stock clean 60 series.
Basically sooner or later kiddos will be on the way, thinking of something more stable on the hi-way, safer, and can haul more etc.
Thinking about selling my 1964 restored fj40 ( FST )
and picking...
Hi all.
Could someone please post the over all height of the trollhole 1F carb?
I jsut want to get all my measurements correct.
so:
1) carb height
2) carb mouth diameter ( where the filter connects )
it will be going on an early siamese f intake :)
I realize i have to...
Hiya.
My stock leaves are almost flat in, there is about 2 inches of travel to the front bump bars on the font leaves for example.
I was thinking about getting the 2 inch old man emu kit for my fj40.
I guess the real question is how much are my leaves sagged from stock?
My theory is that they...
okey/.....
so started to feel something weird again...
pulled the clutch inspection cover.
At idle the throw out bearing is turning, looks like it is riding the 3 spines of the pressure plate.
This is NOT how it is supposed to be correct?
fix it my self or take it back to the...
rattle vibration on load, throwout bearing?
I have noticed a leak around my oil pan, and it looked like it was collecting on the clutch inspection cover. Now I have been trying to track down a rattle vibration ( I can now notivce it now that i have nice quiet tires lol ) that was happening...
so generator grenaded again, switching to alternator.
This is the 4th time it broke, so I am switching to a toyota 40amp alternator.
I be doing some searches, but any help would be appreciated.
Basically I do not trust the shop that rebuilt my generator ( 4 times )
And I want to make sure...
WTB, a single barrel aisin carb.
can be small window or big, I do not care :)
1) must have no issues
2) not warped
3) no vacuum leaks
4) working choke
5) basically working properly and not messed up :D
hit me up via PM ideally.
Thanks

Which is a better insulator between a carb and manifold?
aluminum or a phenolic resin compound
And by better insulator i mean for keeping heat outta the carb :)
Hiya
Looking for a good, known running, pristine one barrel carb, small site glass is fine, idle solenoid valve fine too.
Need to illuminate a possible weak point in my all new fuel system
Thanks!

Hiya guys, new thread new problem.
on heat soaked restart does have the "boil off symptoms", fluctuating idle rpms / vacuum, like 550- 800 rpms, about 2 second cycles or so. These symtoms do not settle out if i let it idle i have to put some load on the engine and drive it for a block to...
hiya
Is it normal to see air bubbles heading back to the tank from the fuel pump in the lines after you shut the engine down? I would imagine it would stay primed and steady. Does this mean a slight air leak in my lines?
you can see air bubbles headed back to the tank on the clear line...
hiya guys
Ran all new lines today and rebuilt my carb.
I put in a new accelerator pump plunger in as the old one would not go back in as it was deformed.
Seems that the spray form the accelerator pump is a bit erratic and inconsistent after the rebuild. Could this be the accelerator...
Looking at the FSM, my throttle plate looks up side down...
It is a back up carb, has a sticky throttle.
On closer inspection, it seems it is sticky on one direction, and seems to be the throttle valve is on the incorrect side.
Am I being retarded or is this incorrect?
thanks...
