Cowl part# help please, for the passenger foot well leak

My 2008 has the footwell leak. My weather-strip fix only worked for a while and I'm finally ready to give in and get the replacement cowl. There are numerous different part numbers quoted in the various posts. Part # 55708-60091 is much cheaper than 55708-60101. I've seen conflicting...

Car covers for 200s with front bull bar?

I know Covercraft has these "custom" for a 200. I'll be calling them to see if they think it will fit mine despite my TJM, but I'd appreciate some Mud input from owners who cover their 200, especially if you have a bull bar. Only have space in the garage for one car, so my daily driver (RX350)...

What should I ask for my built LC?

I need to pull the trigger, importing my LC to Canada is a no go. Since I've already shared my tale of woe in another thread, I won't repeat it here. I know I will probably never be able to have another V8 Land Cruiser, but this move is too good of an opportunity to stay stuck on this. She is...

My reverse build thread, a first for Mud?

This will be a pretty short thread, and somewhat tragic, as I "reverse" build my 2008 LC. It started because importing a modified vehicle into Canada is quite difficult and I can completely understand their public safety viewpoint behind this policy. After MUCH thought and reflection, I have...

What are my factory 2008 wheels worth?

Have the full set of 5 with Toyo ATIIs (50% tread on four of them, 100% on one). What do you guys think I should be asking for them on Facebook or Craigslist? Thanks!

Rear spring advice from owners with very heavy rigs please!

I'm already a bit heavy (~ 7200 lbs empty) with my TJM front bumper, SLEE sliders, full rear drawers and roof rack with RTT. When loaded for camping, she sits and rides perfect with the 2723s in back. BUT, I am really wanting to pull the trigger on the 24 gallon LRA tank. Of course, you then...

    Differential shop in Portland?

Well, she's finally gotten heavy enough and the tires tall enough that I'm ready to regear. Anyone know a good shop in the Portland, Oregon or Vancouver, Washington area that they would recommend? I know many people recommend sending in their thirds, but as my daily driver, I can't easily do...

Anyone have a single Rock Warrior they want to sell?

If you do, please PM. Would like to get a matching spare.

    Do you squeal?

No, I'm not talking about your best Deliverance impersonation. :pig: Just after start up, and for a few minutes, my 2008 with 140K has started to squeal. Doesn't squeal any other time. A little internet research on our Tundra cousins shows that there has been a problem with the drive belt...

Anyone here use rear spring spacers?

I thought I'd seen some people here post that they had use spacers in the back. I didn't need them before but do now. I'm riding a bit high up front (reverse stink bug, hate the look) and want to settle it out a bit. Really surprised how much lift the OME 2703 springs give without being too...

Veterans, thank you for your service.

I'm not always proud of everything that we do as individual Americans or as a country, but my travels have taught me that this is still the best country in the world. It is a nation worth serving. If you've served in the Armed Forces, you understand unique nature of doing a job where you may...

Painting a bullbar, anyone here done it themselves?

I've decided I want to color match my new TJM bulbar, but wonder if I could save myself several hundred bucks and spray it myself. Anyone have experience doing this? Any recommendations?

    Mudder in Battle Ground, Washington?

Is there someone on this forum that lives around here? Saw a very nice white 200 today, looked like Washington plates. Had a lift, roof rack, blacked-out trim and wheels. Really loved the blacked out rear trim with "Land Cruiser" in white. Just curious.

Adjusting compression and rebound on rear BP-51s

Anyone else having a problems adjusting their rear shocks? I tried using a strap wrench (to keep it from spinning) and it just broke under the load. Fronts were stiff/tight to turn, but not unreasonably. Any ideas? I don't want to use channel locks because I'm afraid of damaging the shock body.

    IBS Dual Battery install question

For those special few :wrench::beer::wrench: who have done this mod, did you incorporate the Relay Booster Module? Christo's site says that it is required, but I can't figure out where. Hopefully someone can answer this before Monday, 'cause I've got a perfect weekend to play with the...

    BP-5 preload question

BP-51 preload question: For those of you who have done this, how do you change the preload? The tool referenced by ARB does not seem to exist. Since my Autozone spring compressors were barely adequate when I changed my struts with the stock springs, I am not hopeful they will work for the...

Drain gas tank, for sediment or water, as preventative maintenance?

Anyone do this or know if it is possible? Thought popped into my head during the long weekend drive in the cruiser.

    Do you tow an Airstream?

I am thinking about getting an Airstream but have only towed with a Tundra. Since the cruiser has a shorter wheelbase, I was curious if anyone here tows an Airstream, which one you have, and what your general driving impressions are.

    New 8 speed transmission...

Anyone with a 2016 have experience driving an earlier year 200? I am curious if you noticed any difference with the two extra gears (performance, shifting, fuel economy, etc). Thanx.

    Changing the spark plugs

Decided to do my first "How To" posting since this wasn't as straight forward as I would have hoped. This procedure, due to the much tighter clearances under the hood, is a little trickier than the Tundra. Here is how I did it, starting with the passenger's side. First, loosen the clamp on...
