Hi all,
I have a birthday coming up and was thinking that maybe I could get someone to get me locking hubs for my 1980 BJ41.
I’d like the Aisins but I’m having trouble finding the right part number and they are kinda spendy.
I ran across some maxpeedingrods hubs on Amazon and ebay. They are...
Hi All,
I pulled my A/C compressor out and opened it up this weekend. It was a very interesting tear down.
It had frozen up.
After getting it out of the cruiser (1980 BJ41 2B) I put it in the vise and was able to get it to turn with a 24" pipe wrench but it would lock up again when I stopped.
I...
On the wiring diagrams there is a seat belt buzzer referenced but there are no wires to the seat belts so I don't know what would set them off or on.
It didn't happen till I lubed stuff. I did squirt the lube in the ignition key switch. The lube was a dry lube though so I don't know if it was...
The brakes work fine and I haven't noticed a little blue light.
If it's the back up buzzer it only works to make me back up and go home cuz the noise was killing me.

Hiya,
After lubricating my door hinges and the hinges/pivot points of the brake and clutch on my 80 BJ41 I thought I was good.
Got in this morning and once I turned the engine over a horrible buzzing came from a buzzer under the dash.
It is ear splitting.
I know it is an alarm of some sort. I...

Thanks for the reply but the later version doesn't give you that option.
It's a two piece bracket.
If I'm not doing something wrong and I want to stick with this console then I'll have to build or add on to the existing Tuffy brackets.

Yes and....
I would go ahead and add a little more fuel if you have it. Save some though and dump it in the carb. Not a lot. Just a splash or two. Then turn it over. Should start if all else is ok.
I've been driving diesels for a long time but I remember the days of running out of gas. We...
Hi All,
Afte waiting for two months (due to a back order) I finally received my Tuffy II center console. The one with the stereo box.
I abandoned my "to-do" list and jumped on the simple install.
It doesn't fit.
The emergency brake (on the floor) is in the way. I've searched the forums but all I...
Thanks,
Thanks for the replies. I've considered most of them already, except for the shark fin and the hat.
I'll wait till I get the unit back (it was defective from the get go) and then play with different locations before settling on a permanent one.
I also do not want to drill any holes...
Trouble light?
Trouble light? Is that something like a spotlight or a light to work under the hood with?
Is there a standard spade connector that fits it?
I liked your slideshow.

Hi, I was trying to find a route for my satelite antenna the other day and I found a 24 volt outlet in my glove box.
It was definitely a factory item as the screws that held it in were screwed into welded threads.
Does anyone know what size/type plug fits in the box?
I'm planning on using a...
Hiya,
Has anyone mounted an antenna for a satelite radio on their fj/bj 40?
I spent a while trying to figure out a good pathway but kept running into snags.
I was hoping to come in through the washer nozzle make a left or right through the windshield frame and then drop down to the floor. The...
I just bought some and installed it Superbowl Sunday
I just bought the CCOT economy set which they claim is better than OEM but not as good as their best stuff. It was about $60.00 which at the time sounded like a good deal.
I needed it for all four doors of my BJ41.
The stuff for the back...
