I bought an 80 with a bad head- and the owners records showed Toyota replacing the bottom end with a new $6000 block at a Toyota dealer.
I pulled the motor/trans and kept it as a spare and now i dont need it. I pulled the head to use for another project and also just to see what an 80k miler looks like.....and its REALLY clean. Tons of cross hatchings and absolutely no etching on the top of the block. I will try to find the pics i took and post em up. Or just come see for yourself and grab it for your project or backup or future refresh. $800
I also have a freshly redone 1fz head. Fully refreshed by the same Machine Shop in town that Robbie Antonson used/ gave the okay to/ when he was on his headgasket replacement tour in northern california. i will also grab some pics of this $950.
