Attempting to install a new fuel pump in the next day or so. Parts came in today but I’m concerned I may not have the correct pump or spacer. Was shipped the parts below. Seems like the pump was initially intended for a 40, but are they interchangeable between a late 40 and early 60? If so, I’m assuming I’d still need the spacer. Part photos and numbers attached.

yes same pump for all 2F's from 1979 thru 1987 in the US.
the pump in the pic needs a spacer.
I can't tell if your spacer has the gaskets bonded to it or not. if it doesn't you'll need 2 gaskets

Usually the spacer is still stuck on the block. The usual fuel pump swap just requires one new gasket. There's no reason to remove the old spacer & inner gasket if they're still stuck on the block. It just creates a lot of unnecessary work- scraping off the old gasket.

Here's a pic of the pump with the spacer. (Green stuff is thick green grease I applied to the gasket)

Let me jump in here for some help.

I have a 1977 no return fuel pump on a 1982 block.

Do I need an isolator?

I’m pressing pretty hard to get this to sit flush

the block doesn't matter, it's the pump that is different.
easy way to remember this:
2 lines on pump = no spacer
3 lines on pump = needs spacer

the cam lobe could be in the right spot to move the lever on the pump.

Thank you sir
