That's a lot of rubber.
As to repaint; you are leaning to the '97 being the nicer build correct? Maybe get a higher level Maaco repaint in 6m1 for the '94 ($2500-3k I think is what's been posted on the forums for better prep and paint from them). Then go nutty on the '97
I like the Toyota "Army green" a la trd pro 4runners etc. I've seen a really neat green on some Dodge vehicles lately too It's muted, but still has a bit of sparkle to it in sunlight. I've seen it on a Charger. BMW has had some pretty wild colors on their "M" series vehicles during the last 10 years.
Paint is a funny thing, you could stay within the Toyota palettes, or go nuts. I'm still nowhere near a decision for my rig although I'm "leaning" towards a 55 pattern.
Thanks, Mike. It is a lot of rubber! Almost as much as my nightstand drawer in college.

As for the 97, I'm undecided. Initially, I was thinking of pimping that one out but I have to wring that bitch out before I do. I have no idea what kind of condition it's in mechanically. I know my 94 is running really strong and I love her. I want to outfit her with new front and rear bumpers and do some more for her before moving to the 97.

I think Maaco is a decent alternative. They're hit or miss so I'd have to assess local options once I get to TN. I do like the 6V7 "Army Green" but not on the 80 body. I think it's too light and the lines don't complement a light green (IMHO). I think I know what MOPAR green color you're talking about; it's sharp, dark, and I think would look good on an 80.

These are first-world issues and I'm just thankful I get to have trivial dilemmas like these to work through. Thanks for your suggestions brother!

You’re right Broski, I don’t know who would have issues with seeing beautiful women and cruisers in the same setting. I love women. I love cruisers. Throw some cigars and scotch into the mix and I have no use for pornhub anymore.
I can appreciate your directness. No sense in mincing words.

Are there any vehicle colors that you can't stand? I was looking through the 4runner wiki, and there are some decent colors that have graced the 3rd gen.

I’m open to just about anything but I just talked to the wife and she really wants it to stay original. I might have to just let her have it her way. After all, I did buy new mirrors, and all the door handles except for one of the rear passengers. Those have been NLA for a while but the parts guru was able to hook up one side.

It’ll probably just stay emerald green. I’ll have to hunt for the shop when the time is right.

Emerald green is the best color Ha ha.

Wait….I thought white was the best cruiser color?

Thats silly. Next thing you're gonna tell me is that black wheels are passé...

Santa sent me a custom painted cruiser!

This is just a joke, supposed to laugh and move on.

Bummer…I thought so. I might go art car when my clear coat finally gives up…

Wait what? For real?
White and black are single stage. That’s one of the reasons people desire white so much. If the paint is nonmetallic finish, it doesn’t have clear coat.

Figures, just like me. Low maintenance.

Hmm, that rules out most of the 3rd gen 4runner paints that I like too; all metallic. insert sad face. I guess I'll just sneak onto JBLM and grab a drum of CARC and call it good.

Not an update but and “thank you” to @MrMikeyG for my Christmas care package! Thanks bro! Btw, I don’t weld but now I HAVE to learn. Cheers, my friend

You are more than welcome. It's not quite as good as a shared beverage on the trail, but I'm glad I could return a favor.
