While doing a fresh install of a new set of plugs and the Yazaki (oem style) spark plug wires, it seems to me that the wires are a bit short, especially the #1 and #6 wires! They are taunt and are literally pulling the boots off the distributor cap. What gives?? Is there another brand of similar or better quality out there that is not so damn short? No pics, I pulled them off and put the old no name ones back on..
Thanks!!!

#6 wire is 17.5 inches long and VERY taunt... Pulling on the spark plug boot and the distributor boot..

My 1 and 6 OEM wires are also tight at max length but definitely not pulling the boots off.

Same here, tight but not causing any issues. Do you have an OE cap? I’ve seen some weird aftermarket caps that are hard to fit the boots on.

Wow. Those are the ORIGINAL wires Cody. Insane. 30 year old wire set. Still going strong. Yazaki for the win.
Well that is good proof they have always been this tight and have performed their duty just fine. :)
