Should this joint have any play? I purchased this about 5 years ago and cant believe its worn already. Just daily duties no wheeling. Even the nipple/zerk wouldnt take grease. 1990 FJ62

It's adjustable - read the FSM (free here on Mud), or just remove the cotter pin at the end, screw down the end cap with a large screwdriver or drag link socket (tightly and then back it out 1 turn, per the FSM), or leave it fairly tight (as I do).
Replace the cotter pin, grease it, and you're done. The zerk not taking grease is another issue - you can replace the zerk, just be sure to get the correct Metric-threaded one. Or remove it and clean it with solvent, and depress the steel ball several times to free it up.

Really just like that? Awsome didnt even think to check the FSM manual. Ill give it a go
