The only place I’ve encountered it with a customer is from the 9th crossmember bolt that was very slightly making contact with the body, instead of hovering over it, as the factory bolt does. The simple solution for that is a small washer as a...
Longshot question, but I was watching a vid on youtube months ago and saw a slide out attic rack that a fella in America was using to store his rifles. Cant remember the manufacturer unfortunately, what I do remember is that it used bearings...
Deleted the door moldings so I could install my Rhino Hide armor panels. I'm going to have a shop put a piece of color matched wrap over the holes where the moldings were. I'll likely just keep the Rhino Hide panels on most of the time. I...
It’s spendy. Depends on how bad your pin stripes are and what else you do. The paint correction itself was about $1200 and included exterior detail because that have to wash it first. Replacing PPF on only hood and front fenders was $500. The...
The difference is that it is even further integrated into everything. You really can’t delete AHC without compromising every other off-road and safety feature (MTS, VSC, ABS, Crawl Control etc.). So the portal companies have to be sure their...
This ended up being caused by a bad tone ring. Threw the entire AHC out of whack because it couldn’t determine wheel speed, so it went into limp mode.. Easy fix, but I’m deleting AHC anyway. It’s time for an offroad specific suspension.
Glad to see they’re making progress. I’ve been periodically bugging them about it lol.
Not sure how different the new LX700h AHC system is compared to the LX570, but Dissent seems to be running their portals on the stock AHC without any issues.

It’s true. Ben’s at Dissent also! Crazy what that mall crawler can do just with portals! And the 74Weld are a bit more practical. Although I love the monster truck look too! 🤔
Of course it’s from the Aussies. I’m sure there are shops in the US that can build these but finding the specific Toyota specialty tranny shop would be needle in haystack.
I’d be tempted to go this route versus OEM only because of my use case...
glad I was in a position to help Geoff, and that you're home and your trailer has a safe place to hang out for a while. Chris is @Txanm.
also thanks for taking the time to hook me up with the awesome OBD Fusion dashboard, which provided hours...
@linuxgod, glad you got it sorted. It’s really cool to see how the community responds when someone has an issue. Several examples last week at COTR. Your situation, the 200 with the busted UCA, and the 100 with the broken tie rod and drive...
Geoff,
Glad you made it home OK and everything is on track to be fixed. Here is a view of you following your trailer with Tim towing it leaving Silverton. Really glad you were able to drive your truck from Silverton to Golden. Enjoyed our...
