Re: tires I’d recommend to take another look at 235/85… I switched from 265/75 and am much happier. Not sure how much gravel driving you do, but without flares the 265’s absolutely demolish your wheel arches. Even the 235’s are better with some...

If you buy the retaining ring rims you can still run radial tires with tubes. You just have to buy tubes specifically made for radial tires. I assume they are just thicker given the additional flex of radials vs bias plys.
