Man if looks were Horsepower we would be off the charts. Everything in the engine compartment has a purpose and its coming together. I am just about done with the rear axle, springs and brakes, rear driveshaft is installed. Today has been a Great...
Cooler fuel means dense fuel + Horsepower. Retrofitted oil bath air cleaner will be our fuel cooling can. Mounts to the factory mount on the head and as a added bonus I have added a Bluetooth smoker meat thermometer which will read the temps...
I picked up the new front springs Friday. Like everything I have done on the 45 there is a lot of guess work. After getting everything mocked up I realized the springs are not stiff enough, So I am going to have to add leaf's and get things fine...

John here is basically the same stuff I used. Heatshield Products 244034 Heatshield Products Cold-Gold Heat Shields | Summit Racing - https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hsp-244034
Worse comes to worse, I would opt to get a used harness from Classic Cruisers down in Poncha Springs before getting a Painless or other aftermarket harness. Hooking one of those up would be a TON of work whereas you know where everything in the...
I run one of those cheap like $10 electric diode fuel pump - they last me about 10 years (I carry a spare) Really expensive ones last 5. Fuel pump block off plate eliminated the oil leak. Not a purest.
If The engine has not been turned over in that many years, I strongly suggest removing the spark plugs and squirting the MMO into each plug a couple times for a couple days, let it sit overnight, then do the startup.

Tire wisdom in a nutshell:

More lipstick on a Pig, Shiny bling that I could not resist when I saw a pic. Scuff plates.
I have not had a DS scuff plate for about 20 years. OEM were made of wafer-thin recycled beer can and I have clumsy feet. Found these from @TRAIL TAILOR...
I was thinking about applying but my specialty is mistakes and rework when it comes to working on Land Cruisers. One thing that I can say is that I am very consistent!
Great shop, congrats and good luck with the search!
I won the catch can but since I don’t have an 80 series, donated it to @mesa man and @Mesa Woman
They, in turn, donated some funny tasting salad back.
I would love to stop by and see you sometime.
I am an A (YouTube) level mechanic after all.
This is why I missed this years event . I hope who ever won our catch can system enjoys it! We are seeking an A level Land cruiser Tech. Job and pay info
in the Employment section . Credit to Karl thanks for posting shop pics. I decided to...
obviously you've been driving it for years like that but you have a +85 ("3F") bellhousing and a pre-85 clutch fork which actually do not really juve well together have the spacer block you have installed to "fix" the slave cylinder location...
