Not much for updates. Going to purchase a suspension kit from Redline LC's along with new body mounts. Once that gets going I'll share the progress. Just been enjoying driving the 40 to the beach and cruising around. Really wish I didn't...
Managed to run it around the block at lunch today.
Weird dead spot in the tuning under load but that’s solvable.
A lot of finish work left. But I think I can start driving it to work now.
The last couple days I built a winch cradle to mount a winch in the stock bumper. It pushes the bumper out about 2” from stock. Using a Smittybilt 12k X2O winch with synthetic line. Relocating the solenoid box under the hood for a cleaner winch...
Got the hard top back on. Had a hitch receiver cut into the factory rear bumper with some inner channel extra plating, along with a 7pin trailer harness and Anderson connector.
The big plus for the hard top was getting shoulder belts installed...
K9 Roof Rack arrived and towers fabricated
Also decided on adding a Baja light bar under the roof rack to take up some of the space between the soft top and the rack.
This project should be called: Project Don't Spend Too Much Money
My focus is just on maintenance for this girl... I spend waaaaaaay too much time and money on the fun ones ;)
Picked up the tub today. 9 months at the resto shop for body work/paint. Now my install fun begins again. E-power steering, Resto air, dual air compressor for rear locker, fuel lines / finish up sniper install. Wiring harness, brake lines along...

I prefer some oxidation and patina to a sparkly paint job, but you're right the silver...
Got my adaptor plate cut, as well as new body mounts.
Went to bolt the adaptor on, and, although it fits, I need bolts to do it. And it's a public holiday, so no dice today.
So let's do something else constructive. Body mount time...
Wednesday, Aug 6th:
Today’s a big one —not really. picture day and the raffle. Went to bed Tuesday not knowing if the highway would be open. Woke up… still didn’t know. So I made coffee and wandered over to @RevISK's camp for our patented...
We were visiting family in Anchorage for a couple weeks so haven’t gotten much done. Not complaining my favorite brewery is there, Midnight Sun. I did get the tailgate on. Also making progress on the hood. Underside of the hood is done and the...
Back at it with another overbuilt SCS solution to a probably easy problem. My reverse camera with the new swing-outs is mostly useless. So a protected camera snout for the bumper is required.
This will move the camera down and aft, providing a...
