My original is over 8 years old and still works :cool:
I think it would have lasted longer if I hadn't lift the key on for weeks while I was doing the wheel wells and let it go completely dead for weeks:confused:

Those collection trays are fantastic under the filter, its weird how some vehicles got them and some didn’t. My FTE 100 series came factory with it yet my FTE 79 series didn’t. Naturally I ordered one and put it on haha
Front bumper is painted and back on. Hardware was hammered so got all new.
I guess it's time for new Shocks, the bolts and washers were new before the last runs :rolleyes:
The new .120 wall drive shaft seems to have held up well to abuse 💪...
IIRC, the FSM tells you to remove that gear and then, after a series of other steps, tells you to put it back on again. There's no apparent reason to remove the gear (unless you're going deeper into the engine) so I didn't.
They also don't do...
Here is same pics of the HDJ81. It being 24v starting system, full trim, auto trans, obviously a PDI intercooler and trans cooler added. I also deleted the ACSD so there was more in here when I started.

If you can get it in a garage for a date with an industrial sized dehumidifier, I would start there.
edit: +large fans + pull out everything you possible can. get it all dry and then assess.
Non-EGR variant…cool. And clean. Since this is a non-EGR motor, I’m making the assumption it’s also not VNT - need to check on this when on get back in the garage.
