Installing the Pressure Switches
The pressure switches require an M10x1.25 thread to screw into the chassis. I wanted switches on the driver door, passenger door and the passenger-side ambulance door (my tire carrier is on the driver side). I...
Well, it's in seconds, not hours...but it does track engine runtime apparently. This is via the laptop software, I'm not sure if there's a page that shows it on the handheld.
I've got about 3000 miles on mine now, so apparently I averaged...
Ready for test fit. I ordered this 6 way sealed connector for the rear chassis harness connection. I need a few other 6.3mm bodies to replace a few originals that are kind of rough. I added a charge light relay that will turn on the brake...
Didn't think I'd ever run across one in my lifetime, but sometimes funny things happen. The bag is composed of the same canvas-on-vinyl material that Toyota's tool rolls of the era were made of (see previous post). The tools are exactly as...

This is what I ended up with for my CEL. I had a few 2SB536 PNP transistors in the drawer, so I ditched the relay idea. Just ground the base of the B536 via the ECU and the light comes on. A little over 4 mA current on the 2SD1491 in the ECU.
*** Step 12 ***
The final step would be to apply a skim coat of body filler and block sand the lower quarter panels, then paint.
- I did not complete this step because @jesus888 is having the bodywork done elsewhere, and they will match the...
*** Step 11 ***
Fit new quarter panel pieces and weld in.
- I used the rear lower quarter third patch panel from CCOT, and again, it was great. Nice and thick metal that fits perfectly.
- Cut it to fit and weld it in. I added a couple of holes...
@Engineer8000 the term “dumper diode” is new to me. It’s essentially a flyback diode then?
Tangent story: I used one of the grounded 40 Series turn signal lenses as an on/off indicator in a guitar pedal I built. It’s a tremolo circuit and the...
