on US spec rigs
1 light is for park brake
and the other light is for seatbelt warning
not sure on overseas rigs and diesel what it is used for
the wiring schematic should show it
Finally dealt with a mystery dmv snafu and got my sticker.
They said there was a problem with my registration so I went to a satellite place to check it out. She said they wanted more money. I showed her the receipt where I paid their fees in...
The Toyota/Huf collab stuff is a little cheesy, but it seems to be of high quality. I bought one of their hoodies with a 70 series on the front in what I assume to be faux Dakar livery. It has a seemingly random collection of Toyota-esque logos...
Pretty sure a four post takes up umpteen times more space than a two post. …and that suspension you just installed would have been so much easier with a two post. Lastly, you only need a bit over 4” for a 10k two post lift. Just saying. 😁
They...
4-post is on my want list (along with a bunch of other stuff!). Friend has one that hasn't had anything on it in years I'm trying to buy but "he's going to need it soon."
And epoxy set anchors are pretty easy to do.
Adjusted my cables for the first time since the lift was installed yesterday. Pretty easy to do. This video is Rotary specific but I'm guessing it would apply to many of the two post lifts in this thread...
All new gaskets and seals! Since I had it out and easily accessible, might as well make sure. The same for the Transmission and Transfer Case.
The block color is Copper. I gave it a coat of engine primer and thought the copper would go well...
Just checking in ... I've read numerous threads over the past few years, figured I'd just join as a member.
I bought my 74 FJ40 about 10yrs ago, briefly drove it here and there, but it needed work! Typical "life things" happened that delayed me...
It’s staying here on mud. Going to grab on the 27th deposit is made and then see what it is and start looking for parts. Just what I didn’t need.
Will need tail lights for sure as they are gone and not included. Will be a resto mod for sure fix...
You can buy lifts from HD, Lowes, Amazon, and probably others. Don't know anything about them but assume all imports. Seems like my 20+ yr old import Atlas 10k was in the $2K+ range back then which would probably put it in the range of the some...
All the infloor foam showed up, and I got it down this weekend. Very easy install, and laying the pex is a breeze. It took my dad and I about 4 hours to get the foam down.
3 / 8 runs of pex done. Maybe 30 minutes a piece, with no stapling...
Company’s will have an option of either ALI certified or non-certified. Certified seems to be $1000-1500 more money and the lift doesn’t really look any different, but has a plaque stating it’s certified.
Btw, mine is an Ideal brand, model...
Just doing a 2 minute google search brings up concerns with some lift designs. Here's an example from the UK HSE website:
"Problems with the design, installation, use and maintenance of arm locking mechanisms continue to cause concern in newer...
That's all good to know info. The reason I asked specifically about the Bendpak is that it's not 10-20% cheaper than the Rotary (both new prices), it's 50% cheaper. Yes, I know you get what you pay for.
I would like to believe the difference...
Suburban deal fell through- can’t cry about what you never had. I’ll keep looking for another LS, I have time. There’s a cheap 170k mi unit on FB, but it’s an hour and half away and I have to pull it. Trying to find time…
