Label every connector and take a photo of everything. Lay the harness out beside the car and clean every connector. It is just time consuming, not hard.

The only thing i can add to this topic is it seems at around this age the ECU capacitors can go bad. I have seen reports of odd problems caused by this.

They don't have one mate. The A440F auto is all hydraulic. No solenoids involved.
