The 17" brake kits were recently announced and are also landing right now, so I've updated the first thread. The 18" wheel kit was a hard one for many, as most people want to run 17's, so Powerbrake came through with a different kit with smaller...
I never said their application guide isn't 'remotely' complete, just that it's never been fully complete particularly when dealing with old applications that have hundreds of variants and use cases such as the 7x Series. I doubt you'll find this...
We sell some too:

The Tundra guys probably jumped on it, since those in the know are aware that the front ends are the same as a Sequoia.
These twin tube struts and shocks we have are the closest to an OEM type ride. The struts don't add any lift height, as you'd reuse the OEM coils on them, but you can add the 1/2" lift spacer on both sides to pick it up just a smidge. The next...
No, none of the IMS are suitable. The FJ55 has its own mounting type front and back, and none of the IMS are directly compatible.
Sounds like you just need to buy $5 in black spray paint if the color is the problem.
I just got clarification from Dobinsons on the IMS and GS struts - they do not require UCA's and a diff drop kit if the included droop spacer is not installed on the underside of the strut mount, but for 2.5" or 3.0" of lift, it is intended to be...
Yes, but only if you add the droop spacer (supplied) on the underside of the strut mount, mostly because the stock UCA's don't have much clearance to the coils, and at full droop they can hit the coils. It would still be super close to touching...
There hasn't been any mention of a different strut length other than the 3 that have already come out for them. Plus the minimum lift height Dobinsons offer with coils is 2.0" anyway.
I have had my IMS 2.5 for about 4-5 yrs now, done a few 2-3k miles trip on highway, a few trips to the Rubicon, etc. I really love the ride. Its soft, comfortable, and handle 4lo type crawling well. Would do it all over again.
New replacement strut mounts have finally come into stock:

Just swapped c59-185s in to replace the c59-167s. The c59-167s were perfect before when I was more stock.
C59-167 - 2" lift with stock weight inc 3rd row seat, 1.5" lift with 150-220LBS constant rear weight, linear rate (485/495mm free height...
Do they use a swivel joint where it meets the resi and the shock body? Maybe if it's a rigid mount, it came loose and could be tightened up, potentially saving from a rebuild.
If it's how the hose was crimped at the fitting, then that's...
Not my site. My site says this:
100 Series and Lexus LX470 (1998-2007) – Dobinsons C59-185 – 1.5″ lift, linear rate, with 440LBS constant rear weight
Same info as on the first post of this whole thread.
With less weight than listed, you'll...
Bumpity bump bump
Surely some of you have been running IMS for quite some time now. How about posting up some photos of them on your rigs? I'd especially like to see some of the earlier users of them, to show how they've lasted over time. I...
Updated the first post to all the updated information with all rear shock options, front diff drop kit, front sway bar relocation bracket kit, and rear hydro bump stop kit.
I'm running a similar setup:
Dissent rear as you have it, rock sliders, no skids though.
The C59-167 I bought 1.5 years ago generally ride fine, but having the car empty it sits fairly level (so hanging down packed...). Debating at the moment...
Here we go guys, here are all of the parts that Dobinsons offer for the new 2025+ Toyota 4Runner. Pay attention to the Hybrid and non-Hybrid options, as the coils lift different amounts between 2, since the Hybrid weighs more than the non...
