I cut down a pair of these type of semi truck mud flap hangers to work on my FJ40. They are easy to remove if needed. The mounting part just bolts to the frame inside the rear fenders. Easy project that has worked well for many years.

I bought it.

Got all the turnbuckles installed in the soft top and some new footman loops on the tailgate. Solid top. Looks great. Went on a nice test drive. It runs good. Has a little pop and backfire and hesitation during wide open throttle runs.

I got the TTORA soft top in, the OEM turnbuckles landed today. I'll get those installed tomorrow. Top fits great.

Replaced dry rotted rear window rubber via city racer. Very satisfying 1:banana:job.

Kicked it out of the garage and washed the dust and pollen off it...and first time the garage has been even close to cleaned out in a while.
