Flushed out my ahc globes. Came out pretty dirty. Didnt notice much of a ride difference. Also made a mess with the can, didn’t realize until the next day that the plastic piece around the can lid was a splash guard 😅
No fancy colors like @saucebox, but the kingpin 40" bar fits perfectly at the bottom of the rear window on the upper split gate. Dimmable, rotatable, and plenty of light across the tailgate space. We usually run it with way less output than the...
It's a pretty junk photo, but of a National Luna touch light (this one: Touch Light - https://www.equipt1.com/products/touch-light) that I put there years ago. Invaluable. It's just the single color amber with three (?...I think) levels of...
First born got some upgrades to what is becoming her first car on Thursday. She's known the car for a while, but she will be surprised.
18 inch Tundra Steelies, powdercoated in FJ40 wheel gray.

Finally got around to lifting the old girl and getting her some new rims. Went with the 2" Iron Man Nitro lift (Medium springs + diff drop). Wheels are the SCS F5's on 285/75/16 KO2's.. I also have a SHW Offroad drawer system on order which I...
Bought a pile of parts and it’s about time to head to the garage. Hope to have the brakes, bearings, and ball joints wrapped up by the end of the weekend.
Question for the frame-mounted slider crowd -
Is there a minimum distance between the slider and rockers needed to prevent contact during body flex?
I’ll just pull out the handy tape measure Bob M sent me and see here….
Huh. Lookit there...
Tire guy said I can swap out the 285s for a set of 275/70r18s and actually get a bit of a $$ back. Thanks for the responses. Honestly, I'm happy to be going back down in size. The 35's certainly made the truck look great along with the lift but...
Yeah I couldn’t scrap anything together for the shock bushings that were the right diameter. Was able to use the rented ball joint press from advance auto to get the new bushing into place.
For #2 frame bushing I rigged this up.
Receiving cup...
1992 Toyota Land Cruiser – Atlantic Blue – LHD 1HDT Turbo Diesel – 115k Miles – $33,992 OBO
Left-hand drive, 1HDT turbo diesel. Solid factory-black frame with NO rust. She was imported by a friend of ours in 2021, and we chased her relentlessly...
This past weekend, I flew up to Bozeman, MT, where I will be relocating for work.
It is such a beautiful place, and I am absolutely stoked to move there and join Club 406 MT Cruisers.
Some flicks while I was there. In about two weeks, I will be...
Now you're ready to insert and install the light in to the light pod. Be careful here so as not to let any of the nuts fall out that we've just pressed in.
First, line up the holes on the adaptor bracket to the holes in the top of the pod...
Appreciate that! I'm trying to get into something approaching a 34" at least. And these 255/85R16's I have on are just sub 33's already. But that's a kind offer. If I stay with 16's (rather than getting 18" OEM steelies) I'll be actively seeking...
Don't know if you're ever down in SE texas, but once my FN 17's come in I'll be pulling off my 285/75r16's and don't really expect to be going back to the stockers. I think I've only got about 10k-15k miles on them.
Rebooted driver side CV axle, previous owner put on Worm Gear clamps and I think over tightened the inner boots. Rebooted both inner and outer and drain and refilled T Case while at it.
Wish I could take them off your hands...I have the opposite scenario...all the lift you can do without body spacers or a SAS but running 255/85r16's with spacers. Alas, can't drop coin on tires when the ones I have are in such new shape.
