Ditched the steel!
The front end look sooooo much better!
Next is to ditch those s***ty Hella and get something better. Ive been thinking about giving the HF 6 LEDs one a try. Reviews are pretty good!
I don't know why I never closed the loop on this. I've mentioned it elsewhere, but my best experience to date has been using CarbonOff to clean intake components. It was designed for use in the restaurant industry, to remove baked on carbon...
Sounds like you're on a road trip so things are more rushed but when you can, get a set of these and toss them inside for troubleshooting this exact thing. This will save you from going through fuse after fuse in frustrations! Amazon.com...
Lucky me that I enjoy wrenching!
That's interesting. I've read that as well to check the rear drive shaft. When inspecting the vehicle in purchase, the previous owner said that they put new u-joints in the rear axle. I'm going to assume not OEM...
Welcome Joe. I spent the night at Cebolla mesa between Questa and Taos last sat night. I had to look up Mesa de Cuba and see where it is. Looks like I've driven by the area multiple times, but now I need to hike that area. Thanks for bringing...
Yesterday was garage cleanup & move the 1fz-Fe from the driveway onto the engine stand in my 1 car garage. Still a few more things to hide in the storage shed. It was a success.
i doubt if your caliper pistons are leaking but they're easy enough to do a visual on. The rebuild kit from OEM is easy to work with and it's probably time anyway. I do have to wonder if your master cylinder isn't doing its job.
this video is excellent for sure, but not needed for an 80. For our 80, there's only the cabin fresh air duct opening that's right below the windshield that we need to worry about. Sure, they can enter this party zone from either side of the...
MPG isn't just about the bill; it's also about time/distance between fillups. Being able to drive all weekend and get home on one fill, as opposed to keeping an eye on the gauge, carrying extra cans, going into town to top off, etc. AND having...
I've always wondered about this particular drivetrain inside an 80 engine bay. I'm very intrigued at this project, but also impressed at how fast this joker swapped in TWO engines in only TWO pages. I mean come on now, we need to see bloody...
A thread that started this afternoon. Cant tell if this is 10 years or 10 days of work. A bit mind boggling for a simpleton like me, but especially after:
“So the truck did great on the trip, had plenty of power in the mountains, shifts...
So I’m using the factory tcase. With the LT1 swap I used Torfabs adapter and mounts.
So with this I used the same transfer case adapter since it worked with this 10 speed and just made my own mounts
Factory computer
Currently I’m just using a...
Sorry if this has already been asked but what gauge wire did the OP run from the battery to the fridge power outlet? I have two fridges in two rigs that have different current draws, so the wiring needs to be sufficient.
The Engel MT45 is 25...
Look at Lensun semi-flexible panels, I used e6000 adhesive to stick em down and I put a piece of 8mm double wall polycarb panel between panel & roof for heat.
