FYI Lots of photos on previous page.

Here is a quick video of The Wall on Poughkeepsie.

I kept the dump because I thought the rain looked cool. Wish it wasn't so wide angle. Next time I'll know to pull past. Jon meant the first try up the wall

Chris wanted to chime in and thank jonharris for setting this whole trip up...the campfire, the screen name discussions, and the obligatory (fuzzword of the day) references to the "ignore list" feature on MUD....

Nice to meet everyone and see the different trucks. Definitely the most fun that I have had in my last 4 trips to that area...

Ready to do it again. Also, I did not have a camera so thanks for taking pics of me.....

cawwwwwwcawwwwww!!!!! (night yell from tent).....

Loved the clouds and the rain. I will be ordering one of those cameras promptly. Yes, the first try up the wall was pretty embarrassing for me but watching the clouds instead of my truck in the video made me feel good. :)

Great post....made me chuckle. Thanks for coming!

Looks like a great trip! Nice writeup with good pics as well.... Too bad you guys are about a 24hour drive away from VA.... Maybe next year I can plan to visit some friends in CO for a few days and spend a few days exploring the back country with you guys. Next time I come to CO it will be via my 100!

Jon, great pics and dead on write up. We had a blast and it was great meeting everyone. Thanks and great job getting all the logistics worked out. Look forward to next year. Definitely taking Friday and Monday off next time.............

That looked pretty freaking awesome. Looks like you all had a good group and a great time. Maybe next year.

Looks like an awesome time was had by all, thanks for sharing the photos!

Awesome write up! I'm planning for next year. Just got finished with 10 weeks off, and 8500 mile road trip in the cruiser, couldn't swing one more this year.. :(

Great writeup and pics guys. Any of Black Bear?

Sent from my iPad using IH8MUD

All of Post #115. Unless you are talking about a black bear and not the pass. If that's the case then no.

Cabin?

"We proceeded up the Super Secret Route to come to the best views of the trip. We found a cabin in the area that has great potential to be the base camp for next years event."

Is this the one? If so, we've stayed there the last 3 or 4 years for our summer vacation San Juan four wheeling trip.

BTW, Thanks for sharing the pics. It brings me back to the place we love so much.

We just got home after a 9 hour drive, finished unloading the 100, and cracked a Dale's. Great pics Jon! The pictures of Iris climbing out to say hi to you and of Daisy waiting for me to climb the wall are great. Daisy was asking when she gets to meet Fubuki again. She misses him :(

Let me know when you set the dates for next year. If I'm on the beach again, we'll be there!

Thanks to all for the help, the laughs, and most importantly, the new found friends. Who would have thought a simple car could do all that.

Peace to all - Bob and Amy and Iris Dawg and Daisy dawg

@SUMMIT CRUISERS. There were 3-4 cabins in the area. I don't remember that one specifically but some were hard to see from the road. that one looks great. Small but probably has amenities we would want like bathroom/shower/cooking. We would use it like a base camp and people could pitch tents/campers around it. The one I remember the best was much larger than that one.

This was my first large wheeling trip with 100s and I am defiantly looking forward to more! I had a wonderful time and it was great to be able to put faces with the names. Look forward to wheeling with you guys again and pounding back some more brews in the near future.

Thanks again for putting this together jonharis and for the great write up.

I thought this pic was kind of funny looking.
