LX600 Overtrail Style Build: Parts List/Recs (1 Viewer)

Hello,

Has anyone looked into doing an Overtrail style build on their LX?

It seems like it would be generally:

1) remove running boards
2) change for the 18” black wheels
3) skid plates (I haven’t seen these, may be new?)

What am I missing (other than triple lockers)?

Any help is appreciated!

285/65/18

You have to drill holes into the factory roof rails and install threaded inserts… not the easiest install but I got it done.

Thanks. A guy I work with has the Prinsu and that's how the shop installed his too.

Has anyone tried installing 285/70/R18 Wildpeak A/T4W (34") with +40 offset on AHC suspension?
Running 285/65/R18 with BBS rims now with no issues.

I'd also like to know this. Are you planning on different rims? I have the BBS rims with 285/65 too but they are 47 offset IIRC.

My mistake. Just checked they are 8 1/2" wide and 47.5 offset. Not planning to change them.

I thought about running that size but I was worried about the spare fitting.

Eventually I’d like to get the dissent front bumper and sliders. They don’t ship, so I’d have to drive the truck from CO to CA… might be a while on that.

Slee recently announced their bumper and slider for the LX6; only downside currently is their sliders are for the non-AHC model right now.

That's going to be a very limited market going forward given all LX's starting next year will have AHC...

I ordered the same Prinsu rack, drilled the holes but then noticed the rack is too narrow and doesn't fit in the front.

Could you please measure the inside distance between the front rack foots? Do you rails look straight?
My crossbars are 51" but the measurements is 51 11/16"

Looks like the feet are in the wrong place. It was very confusing to me on where and how far to measure off the front windshield. This was my first prinsu install and I was relatively unimpressed.
Pic attached of inside dimensions at the front feet of my lx prinsu rack install. Let me know if you need any other details or measurements

The plan as of now is to take my non ach truck to slee in the spring. Sliders, skids, lift and TRD rims for sure. Hopefully they have the front bumper finished by then. They have it listed for sale now but they are still figuring out the side lighting. The engine replacement might change the timing however. We’ll see if those ever show up from Japan. I’m not taking a US/Mexico engine if offered. That is not what I paid for

Do you have a link for the Slee bumper? I can't seem to find it.

How’s the ride quality on this compared to stock? I keep hesitating because the ride quality on stock AHC is not great. I keep hoping it’s because of the tires. Did that fix it?
