Sounds like a plan, Jerry. @JohnVee is the previously mentioned maestro of mudship and lives close to me and even if not involved can usually assist with logistics...it's like a higher calling for him. :steer:

Chris,

I can store it for jerry for a couple of days and can make a trip out to his place to drop it off once I can coordinate with him.

Was already planning to go to his place anyway.

Thanks for jumping in to help, I am not at home in CLT right now (where the Gaucho is, I am bouncing back and forth to / from our place in VA up and down 77 - CLT, Statesville, Dobson, Mt Airy, Galax, Hillsville).

I will be in CLT Thurs (tomorrow) after lunch and Friday until about 3pm and then Mon afternoon until Tues lunch if any of those slots work for the mudship forces.

Otherwise I'll be here late Dec and then likely be heading NE from CLT after Jan 1 and can get to the Triad at a minimum, maybe points east up to RTP.

Wow guys, thanks for jumping on this so quickly with help. I may be returning to Matthews to help my friend who is relocating out here, this purchase may inspire a small U-haul to do in all in one trip so I should be able to retrieve myself, presuming plans can be made with her.

This goes for my grandson Willie, WAAAAY to young for it now, however, aligns with the threat I gave Mikaela upon learning of his pending arrival. The threat was a motocross bike before she returned home with him from the hospital, she made it clear that I should not make that happen. I see this as a great compromise, something he will be able to explore as he ages into it, giving me time to build a rock crawling garden in their backyard.

This will be well cared for and used by young Willie 😎

Unexpected great ways Mud is special...I showed Palmer the picture of Willie and explained he was getting the Gaucho (Palmer was tentative with listing yesterday).

Palmer said he was so happy to pass it along to a little guy who has unlimited adventures in front of him. And the beat goes on...

My feelings exactly, we will take great care of it and pass it along to the next possible adventurer 😎

Soooo…

Does anyone have a set of roof rails (the outside ones) ?

Long story short, my son broke his arm, needs surgery and I’ve been a bit sleep-deprived.

Elsie went up against a parking garage roof with my spare on top.

I’m thinking a body shop is the best course of action given that it pulled the screws right out of the roof. Also open to any insight folks may have.

For now I at least have those end elbow pieces I can put back and adhere w clear silicone (to keep moisture out) until I form a plan.

Happy Holidays! 🥴

Anyone looking to get rid of a 40 in the $15k-20 range?

One of my buddies at work is looking for a pool table for sale.
If anybody knows of one for sale please let me know.

Thanks

I have a set of 60/62 factory chrome wheels that I really don’t have a use for. The tires that are on them really have no value as they are fairly dry rotted. I also don’t have any idea how to price them. They are pretty clean and they do have the 2 center caps for the rear wheels. All 4 wheels are in similar condition to the one pictured. I’ll put a price of $400 but if you can use them and don’t think that’s fair please reach out and let me know, I’m sure we can work something out.

I may know a guy. Would be in the chapel hill area. He works for us but is a skilled woodworker as well. Currently has this one for sale. Was asking 6k but has had it for a while. Made from reclaimed lumber from a barn they took down on his property.

He also just bought another parts table so if he was looking for something in particular or a certain price range and was patient on timeline they may be able to work something out.

Lmk if he would want his contact info.
