Another epic Ouray trip in the books, thank you all for making this a memorable trip. You couldn't have asked for better weather, hardly got any precipitation. This was the first time I took a day off from driving and that was quite lovely, I gotta say. We hiked part of the Perimeter trail then checked out the Box Canyon falls. Here's a video of it from the bottom New video by A. Ali - https://photos.app.goo.gl/ikRzw4FzejivrL4L6

I'm thinking next year we should be able to take over the entire hillside tent spots in the campground. Isabelle had a ball riding with Jesse and Caludia in their 80 with their dogs. Y'all know how dog crazy she is ;) . I'm guessing this will be the last time Isabelle will be riding with me as she has plans to drive herself next year :(

Jeff got a dimple in the plastic bumper corner of his GX which I think can be heated with a heat gun then slowly push back out. Pappy got a tail light carnage but other than that, I don't think we have any trail damage to report.

Juan dented his door when a stick flicked up. Over all, just minor stuff.

Getting locked out of your rig and got denied from running Black Bear pass :bang:

All food and drinks were locked in the car for bear proofing. Thankfully neighbors took pity on me and gave me coffee and a burrito while we waited for the tow truck.

Dammit man. Nobody there could get into that for you? I've always got a lockout kit in the LX.

I need to get a key made that opens the door but doesn't start ignition.

What's your lockout kit consist of?

I have a key stashed outside that unlocks the doors, but isn't programmed into the immobilizer I also have the small keytag hidden inside that paired with the key will start the truck.

I just have the cheap Chinese kit from Amazon with reachers, slim jims and the all important inflatable wedge.

A also keep a metal blank key (no chips) in a small plastic box with a magnet on the back in a hard to find spot on the vehicle. It will get the door unlocked.

Dealer says that I need to have a locksmith change the locking cylinder on the door for a different key. I don't have a chip key, I don't think. I better investigate this further.

Ok, cool. I'll do the same with an unprogrammed key, assuming I have a non chip ignition. I'm going to look into the car break in kit, not sure where I'd stash it if I need it and managed to lock myself out of my car but might be able to help out others.

Pretty sure you need a 4D chip key.

I guess I was late to the show Friday morning. I had no idea that's why you were planning to leave late. That really sucks.
I should get a key cut for the door, too; I've been locked out once this year.

Thanks, Ali, for organizing. It was an awesome trip again. Great to meet and ride with both new and familiar faces. I think we had 14 rigs on Thursday and split in 2 groups. Friday ended up 3 groups, plus some separate activities. Saturday was split up too, including some separate activities also. I'll share a few pictures. I can't compose like Pappy, plus my phone camera is crappy.

I rode some of the Colorado Trail on my 2 wheeler driving in Wednesday:

Larry led us up Poughkeepsie Gulch and down Corkscrew on Thursday. We watched some of the SAS crew playing on the wall. The SAS 100 had an open front axle (wtf?) or he might have made this line. The white 80 almost lost his back window right here (he did make it up) and the window was duct tape when we saw it the next day.

Saturday I went 2-wheeling again. The hood is for Justin (it does have some bullet holes). It was really smoky and visibility was poor for pics.
Sunday I hiked the Ouray perimeter trail and caught this overlook of town from the northeast end of the trail.

It's a nice 6 mile loop and you can start at the campground climbing straight up for a while. It goes by Box Canon Falls, follows the Uncompaghre river canyon for a bit where the Ice Park is, goes through some aspen south of town and by another water fall. Scenic and convenient.
