Spending the day cleaning seat belts. This turbo sprayer is making a huge difference.

Ive goofed on something in the front end, put wheelbearing and steering knuckle kit in, the other side is perfect, this one was splashing grease on the rotors and smoking when I came to a stop

Free rust proofing though

To the people who have replaced the shifter handle and indicator plate, you know the amount of work involved. Now I need to find my soldering gun. Ha! :)

Had some heavy rain over the past few days. Today, my passenger side floorboard was soaked. And lucky me, my wiring was wet. Just vac’d and drying it out best I can. What’s funny is that there’s a little removable grommet that blocked all the water from draining.

I’m getting a little bit of dampness on the drivers side as well.

I suspect this is the culprit:

This is probably something I can’t DIY myself so I guess I’m paying a visit to the glass shop.

Also, a few weeks ago I misplaced my gear selector knob so I just printed this out as a temporary solution until I find it:

Had local shop add a couple Baja Design LP6 to the from to make up for the poor stock lighting for desert riding. Was impressed with the custom cut, welded and painted brackets. They are very solid.
Nice! I like my LP6’s

Finally installed Dissent no cut aluminum rear bumper. Got to wire up the backup lights and the trailer harness but will probably get to those once I receive swingouts from @benc
Very impressed with Ben’s customer service and the quality of the bumper.

Changed the rear diff fluid with 3.5 quarts of 75-90 Mobil 1 fluid and swapped out the spark plugs with NGK iridium. Noted that cylinder 1 and 3 spark plugs were actually loose. Torqued new ones to 18ft/lbs. Small exhaust tick still present for the first few minutes of driving.

Potato Chips with Ridges might be good, but this?
Not so much.

Took the 04 out for a 200 mile spin, brakes started to ‘shimmy’. Ordered a ‘bunch of parts’ then pulled off wheel, and outer pad (brake job appears recent) but could not remove inner pad. Unbolted caliper and the inner pad told the story. Glad I ordering everything, (replacement calipers, rotors, pads, hoses). Now ordering seals and inner cover ($60 from dealer). Also noticed wheel bearings were way too loose. Important to either 1) do it yourself or 2) find a mechanic that knows how to work on 100’s. Yes, I have a fish scale.

Good luck with that, ironman customer service coming up with lame excuses for an order of torsion bars placed early this month. Not just once, 3 times now. Interestingly saying those in stock an will ship next couple of days every time
