Up for sale is a 1999 Lexus LX470. I will get photos up within the next couple of days. I have owned the truck for the past 7 years. It has lived up to its legendary reliability. I am only selling because I am starting graduate school in the fall and need to find something more economical for commuting to Boulder. Truck passed emissions last time with absolutely no issues. Since owning the truck I have performed LOTS of modifications, turning it from a grocery getter into a serious overland vehicle. All the work has been performed by Import Specialists here in Fort Collins and Slee Offroad in Golden.

I bought this and immediately addressed the following:
Replace toning belt
Replace all brakes/rotors
Fix front tie rods
Replace alternator drive belt
Replace air cleaner element
Replace thermostat
Alignment
You can see several cosmetic defects in the photos, the most significant of which is the rear passenger side corner bumper. I haven’t addressed this because I am on the fence on replacing with an aftermarket bumper.
The front driver side tire was punctured by a screw but was patched and holds air with no issues.
My family and I have loved this vehicle. But professional situation is changing and need to downsize.

Engine likely needs replacement - had the serpentine belt break which put a hole in one of the coolant hoses. 15 minutes down the road from getting the belt replaced the car overheated. Local mechanic replaced the hoses and took it for a spin and it overheated pretty quickly again - his diagnosis is the engine is toast. Also needs a new battery since it has sat a while. Recently had the radiator replaced, wheel bearings re-done, and lower control arms replaced. Would make a great project for someone with more time and expertise than me!
Mods:
Old Man Emu Lift Kit, Prinsu Roof Rack, Stealth Custom Series Wheels, Snorkel, Touch Stereo w/Car Play etc. (amp is original so there's a bit of a persistent hiss), LED Light Bar and...

Mechanical needs:
- steering bushing/alignment
- champaign cloud color, clear coat near top edge of front quarter panels
- a 1” wide rock dent on driver side forward quarter panel.
- rear spoiler missing
- rear bumper dings from trailer hitch ups

- deep cleaning of carpet, new floor mat for driver side
- replace wood trim (or leave it off for a more classic clean Toyota look.

For sale is my 1999 Lexus LX 470.
Clean title.
The bad: It does crank over, but I cannot get the stupid thing to start. I am getting a "B2796 code: No Communication In Immobilizer System.” I replaced the key antenna, amplifier, and ECU, without any luck. The immobilizer light is not flashing as well. The locksmith who came out also said the antenna is not getting power and I tried to trace out the wiring, but have not been able to figure out where the issue is. This is why I am selling. It will come with both ECU’s and old immobilizer parts.
The pics are also a bit older and do not show a ding on the rear left, and a dent in the tailgate where my wife backed into a pole. I’ll add pics that show those details leter this evening.
