1997 Land Cruiser FZJ80 For Sale
Hey everyone, new guy here just joined to post this and hopefully post more in the future. Like the title says I'm looking to buy a 1995-97 Land Cruiser.
This is what I'm looking for in the car:
Running- No smoke or head gasket issues or oil leaks preferably
Clean title- please no salvage or flood vehicles
4wd -obvi
Lockers- Preferably front, rear and center all working
99.9% rust free
Lifted with big tires 33's+ but 35's are preferred.
I would also love for it to have armor, bumpers, sliders skids, all of that is great but I understand that for my budget this might not be possible.
The good part for you guys wanting to get rid of yours and start a new project: Mileage doesn't really worry me as long as it has been properly...
I have a 1997 Land Cruiser that I'm regretfully selling as I'm moving out of state. I need to sell this in the next 3 weeks. First off some of the stats:
2 tone color (tan/grey)
Tan leather interior (no rips)
270K Miles on odometer
Factory E-Lockers
2" lift kit with Ironman shocks & OME performance springs
Landtank double cardan drive shaft.
Landtank castor correction plates
Body is in decent shape, some rust spots here and there but overall good condition.
Hood was replaced because of rust with a hood from cruiser parts. Color isn't perfect match but pretty close.

I am the original owner of this vehicle and it's been regularly maintained. Right now, the two issues I'm aware is that the AC isn't working and also...
I have no affiliation but as I debate doing an LS swap if I wasn't in the middle of a remodel on a rental I would be all over this with an LS.

I purchased this cruiser 6 years ago and slowly built it. Here is a list of items that have been done since I purchased. All parts are Toyota OEM and were purchased through CDAN or ACC. The head gasket has never been done and has shown no signs of needing to be. I run a scangauge and temps run between 193-197.
OME heavy lift front and 866 rear springs. Nitro shocks with caster bushings. Alignment in spec and tracks straight.

Recently transitioned from the Army and moved from the panhandle of Florida to Bozeman,MT. I never needed much of a vehicle there, but now I absolutely need a 4wd. This gives me a great excuse to finally get an 80! I have lurked on the site for awhile, but ready to get my feet wet.
I am looking for a built, ideally >150K miles, locked 80 in/around Montana. I am willing to drive if need be. It will need to get me 20 miles to work each way everyday through a mountain pass, and also tackle somewhat questionable forest "roads" on the weekends for driving and camping with no issues. My budget is able to afford a well maintained 80. Please let me know if you have/ know anyone has something that fits the bill. Thanks!

Just posted my 80 on eBay. There is a buy it now with a very reasonable reserve. 3 owner super clean with some very nice mods. Purchased from a mud member earlier this year.
All maintenance up to date.
Price reflects condition and tasteful mods. But it's mud so I'm sure there will be those saying its high but I wanted to the let community know if you happen to be looking for a 80 with no issues.

3rd owner of Turn Key 80 Series that is immaculate inside and out. This truck has just gone through extensive maintenance. New hoses, wire, plugs, distributor, starter, alternator, knock sensors, reconditioned Safari turbo system, front bearings repacked, all new fluids (synthetic only), alignment. Truck runs perfect with the Safari turbo with inter cooler and UNI chip. I spotted this 40th this morning. Sound like EGR damaged the harness. I know people run from Michigan trucks, but if it was cared for it could be fine. Might even be Locked. For $1700 seems worth a look.

Could be a good price ($2500) for anyone mechanically inclined, with spare parts hanging around, or looking for a parts truck. Relatively low miles from what I've seen in this area.

The truck was imported from Japan recently, and comes with a clean North Carolina title.
The truck has No Rust on the body or frame, however there are few chips and dents around the body which you can see from the pictures. Nothing serious, but I want the buyer to be fully aware of what the truck is like. Clean inside and out.
