Selling my 1988 FJ62. It is modified and ready to roll. Bought the vehicle a few years ago with the intention of building a family-friendly off road vehicle. Most of the work was done by the PO, but I decided to do an LS swap. Unfortunately, I've lost interest in it.

• Engine (LM7) and transmission (4L60e) from a 2006 Yukon with about 186,000 miles

• New Toyota fuel tank and Tanks, Inc in-tank fuel pump
• Needs a few odds and ends to finish it, but it can be your daily driver if you want (even has working heat and AC though the system needs a recharge)
• Body has no dents, but it does have rust spots and the seat vinyl...

I have a 1990 FJ62 that I traded for earlier this year. It has 275k miles and is NOT rusted out as it lived 99% of it's life in California. Runs and drives. Has refreshed interior and new tires. Best I can tell the paint is orginal. C chanels are clean, even the insides. Areas that need work - hard start sometimes and needs knuckles front end repacked.
I own and have owned many FJ40 and FJ60s - this was my first FJ62. After driving 1,000ish miles it really isn't for me. I prefer a manual transmission.
So I am looking to trade for a stock 40 or 60 that isn't built for offroading or lifted, snorkled, etc.
I would sell to interested parties for $23,500. Basically what I have in it.
Feel free to reach out if you have...

1984 FJ60 in very good condition. 240K miles, 4 speed transmission, maintained at Mcintosh Imports (Land Cruiser specialist) for the last 3 years here in Charleston, SC. Runs and drives well.
A little rust around the rear quarter panels but otherwise in sound mechanical and overall condition. Have receipts from work done in my 5 years of ownership and 3,000 miles driven.
Short list of what I've fixed:

Second owner of a January 1990 FJ-62 series Toyota Land Cruiser. Still runs decent with 227K miles, but could use a tune up. I just went through the overly difficult job of replacing all the belts, The interior is in great shape and has been kept as stock as possible. Low wear on Michelin stock tires, and a new muffler and tail-pipe. Exterior paint overall is good as the PO had it repainted about 15 years ago. However, some clearcoat is flaking on the hood, there has been some damage to the DS rear door, and the tailgate has rust that needs to be dealt with. We are the second owner, and this truck has lived in the Bozeman area since new.
Plenty of potential in a classic LC. Asking $15,900 OBO.

Well, the time has come to list my beloved "Goldie".
>>(THE VERY VERY) SHORT VERSION<<
This is an AWESOME truck (172k miles on the dash) and I am sorely tempted to keep her. I have restored/upgraded everything that makes sense to me and she's a beauty and runs like a top. I'm asking $31,500 and have her listed locally. You can see a bunch of photos here. Here's the...
>>LONG VERSION<<
I purchased this 1989 FJ62 in "Beige Metallic” in September of '22 from a dealer in Tennessee based on pictures and description (I was not able to see her in person before purchase). She was my first 62 and I had previously restored a JDM BJ44 (yes, I regret selling it) and made minor upgrades to an FJ45 Troopy (that I still happily own) and currently...
Up for sale is my very clean and original FJ62. It has been my DD for the last 4 months and I love it dearly but circumstances force me to let her go. She was sold new in Columbia, SC and as far as I know spent her whole life in the state, hence how clean and rust free she is. This Cruiser comes with a massive stack of receipts dating back to the original owner and has been thoroughly maintained its entire life. The PO who I bought it from had a lot of work and service done in the last few years at Trollhole's Cruisers in Greenville, SC and I have also done a fair bit of mechanical work to get the 62 dialed in perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to hop in and drive the Cruiser across the country tomorrow.
Things to note:
1. The Cruiser was...

I am helping my neighbor sell his FJ. He and his family have had a great run with this truck, but it's time to let it go to a new home and a younger buyer who will add more adventures to its history. This FJ runs great and is in original condition. No modifications. This truck is well documented, with lots of maintenance receipts. The owner did a mechanical and paint refresh in 2018. The odometer cable kept breaking, so he didn't replace it. The mileage shown is 102,741. The owner thinks the mileage is closer to 200k now. The truck is located in Central Denver, Colorado. I am hoping for some price guidance from this group. Pictures - 1989 FJ62 - https://photos.app.goo.gl/awrk4kz5DNnPi7jn6

For this crowd the most pertinent bit of info is the frame is pretty much junked. Couple feeble patch attempts here and there. I have put 20,000+ miles on it this way with no further degradation. Body has rust as well.
Lots of good mechanical parts and I daily drive it.

UPDATED*
It’s with a heavy heart that I am selling my LandCruiser project. I have a baby and no time free time to get it over the finish line. I need to hand it off to someone who can handle the project from here or go their own way with it.
When I originally obtained the truck it was running/driving, had a clean interior, and was partially spring over axle converted on 35’s. I wanted to daily the vehicle so I rebuilt a stock front axle, dropped it down to a 2” OME lift and accompanying suspension. Since I am in Denver and have to get smog tested (the engine had been de-smogged) so I decided to do a “2FE”conversion since that’s the only legal way to fuel inject a “2F” engine. I obtained a running 3FE engine...

SOLD- Rusty. Runs, Drives, I wouldn't think twice about driving it anywhere I wanted to go. It will never be clean--- it will never be nice.
Yes it's rusty. Yes it has a solid engine leak, but hey it doesn't burn a drop of oil!
It won't implode on itself this year... It aint the one anyone wants, but it the cheapest one in the country~!
