Stock FJ60 with 127,xxx miles. Has been my daily driver for over 2 years.
The good: tires with around 10k. Radiator, rear shocks, rear seat belts with harnesses less than a year old. Rebuilt desmogged carb and dissy by TLC Performance (Jim C) installed Feb08. Tuffy center console.
The bad: rear main leaks enough to make a mess on my new driveway but I only add 1 qt between oilchanges. AC leaks but I add one can of Freeze 12 and it cools all summer. Rust around passenger side rear wheel well.
I took this truck on a 2600 mile round trip in 2009 with no problems.

I must sell my much-loved restoration project. Asking $6700. 182K miles, totally rebuilt at 170K - pretty much everything that moves was upgraded/replaced/renewed (well over $10K in parts alone). Suspension: full Old Man Emu suspension with 4 inch lift and 4+Plus shackle reversal; Front and rear axels: completely rebuilt front and rear differentials, replaced all bearings for the diffs, axels and wheels, differential gears were fine and were re-used, locking hubs rebuilt; Steering: knuckles rebuilt; upgraded to 4+Plus extreme-duty steering linkage, new tie rod ends, OME steering stabilizer, replaced upper steering column shaft; Drive train: fully re-built engine, new pistons, rings, bearings, valves, guides, rods, etc…. Cam, crank well...
I have a 1988 FJ62 that I need to unload. She's been a daily driver for me for several years and is bone stock. She's Toyota red and has just under 200k miles. I am selling her is because I took her in to the shop to have the AC compressor replaced and an oil leak fixed and found out that I had spun a main bearing. With four kids I can't afford to have the crank reworked so I have to sell her :frown:.
Before they found that I had spun the bearing they checked the oil pressure and it was great. She ran strong and I drove her to the shop. She never gave me any reason to think there was anything wrong. The oil-leak was the rear-main seal. The previous owner neglected to replace it when they put the tranny in and it was spent...

Phenomenal truck, has given me zero trouble in the 8 months I've owned it. Runs strong and cool in the city, on the highway at 75mph, and crawling in the woods in 4lo. Transmission shifts like new.
Not so great:
Headliner is not the best, looks to have been incorrectly installed, but is aesthetically decent. It is very responsive to humidity.
Rain gutters need resealing at some...
1989 burnt orange cruiser. I picked this truck up as a project and since work got crazy I haven't had the time to work on it. I'll consider parting out if I get enough requests but it wouldn't take much to restore.
The bad: When I picked it up the transmission would overheat and stop working altogether. I did one flush and now the transmission just slips a little going into first but other than that seems to be fine. Engine runs strong but just recently I started having problems with the starter. Have to pull it out and kick it occasionally to get it started. Standard cruiser rust nothing to drastic but i'll try to point out in the pictures.
The good: Everything else seems to be fine, I took it out and had it up to about 65...

Not mine. I spotted it yesterday parked at the end of a long driveway on Hwy 113 across from the Ace Hardware in Dixon, CA.
I only had a brief moment to walk around it.
I just found the post on Craigslist: 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60
No rust on this truck even though it is in CT. PO told me that the truck came from California and buy the condition of the frame and body it is probably true.
The frame is immaculate, interior very clean, good tires. 151,000 miles. PO did a repaint that is not the quality that I do but it is acceptable. I bought the truck for a purpose that no loner is happening. I dont know how to post photos but can send them via email if there is interest. $2800 firm firm firm or it doesn't sell and I use it for a winter beater.

1984 LAND CRUISER
Rusty but trusty. This has been my daily driver for the last 4 plus years. It's taken me all over the place through all sorts of weather and has never let me down. The long and the short of it is as follows.
389k on the truck. The previous owner told me the block was replaced in 2002. He passed along some receipts to back it up. The frame is fine it's the body that's rusty. I've done some work putting in new metal where it was necessary. 4X4 works great. Just had the starter rebuilt. Complete brake job last year. I've kept up on things like changing the fluids, including the diffs., tranny and transfer case oils and replacing seals when necessary.

For Sale is my 1988 FJ62 with lots of goodies. This is a great truck, and its in better shape that you would expect given its age. I got married, and I just don't drive it much anymore, and never get offroad. So, it needs to find a new home for someone who really appreicates it. You'all know all about these trucks. After building this FJ60 I've decided due to lack of use and just too many vehicles I thought I'd see if there is any interest in it. I'm currently trying to thin the herd. I have a 1986 FJ60 in pretty good shape that I have recently lifted and did other mods to. This FJ60 runs and drives great. It has 230,xxx miles and counting.

We have a super clean 1983 FJ60 at the shop that we are now selling. It has a 143,000 miles It is a 4 speed 4WD and runs absolutely great! The asking price is $2900. This FJ is in absolutely great condition inside and out! No rust spots and is already lifted with OME Shocks, and Dakar springs...you have to see it for yourself!
The Carb was been re-built and tuned, the truck also passes smog.

I have 1987 FJ60 for sale. I got the 60 from the original owner in Fresno, CA. This is a very dry area of California and I have not found a spec of rust on the vehicle. The owner owned a auto shop in Fresno, and did a lot of his own upkeep on it. He installed a Japanese 2F from Spector in 2000, with under 15k KM on it (as per Spectors standards on these motors). Since 2000 til now he said he only put 10-15k miles on it and has the maintenance records to prove it. It even has the Japanese 2F sticker!
This would be a great base for a wheeler or even a restoration project or just daily drive it the way it is!
A bit about it:
The rest of the vehicle has 258k miles
It passed CA smog 7-28-09 and is registered til June...
This cruiser is now up for sale. My co-worker decided it wasn't for him. Plus he has a new house and baby. Needs some minor tinkering, tune-up, overall a great truck. I would buy it but I already have one.
Here's the thread from when he bought it. It now has low 90k miles on it. I will find out exactly how many tomorrow. No longer has the running boards on it, but he still has them I believe. IT'S THE WHITE ONE, NOT THE BLUE ONE.
