Ok, so California CARB is claiming another victim. This FJ was purchased new by my parents in 1987. Original California car. I still remember they had to special order the Grey interior with Brown exterior because I didn't like the Brown/Tan interior. The FJ sat in my parents driveway for a few years and then they were going to sell it, so 4 years ago it became my project. A new carburetor (from Specter), new thermostat, Optima battery, Sony head unit, JL audio speakers, seat covers, black carpet, and flat black paint have been put into the FJ. The FJ passed Smog two years ago, but it will not pass now. I don't drive it much and I would love to keep in my family, but I just don't have the time or money to play with it any more...

Good for rebuildable engine or parts like axles etc. The frame is not good and body the same but everything else is there minus the rad and air intake MAF and upper gate.

1988 Land Cruiser (FJ62) North Dallas
I am a student with a family and I do not have the time that I would like to work on this truck. The engine is good but has an oil leak and there are only 139,XXX miles on this truck. The engine is fuel injected (EFI). The transmission shifts smooth (automatic) and four wheel drive works. I was getting the cruiser ready for inspection and replaced an O2 sensor and the horns. But it's not inspected or registered. There are no stored codes in the computer after I replaced an O2 sensor. Interior is fairly clean with a normal tear in the side of the driver's seat. There is some body rust (tailgate, both quarter panels, and both rockers) and some on the frame. I have a rust free primered tailgate that...

1989 burnt orange cruiser. I picked this truck up as a project and since work got crazy I haven't had the time to work on it.
The bad: When I picked it up the transmission would overheat and stop working altogether. I did one flush and now the transmission just slips a little going into first or when it starts to heat up it gets bad. Alternator also seems to be bad. Engine runs strong fires right up on a jump. Standard cruiser rust nothing to drastic.
The good: Everything else seems to be fine, I took it out and had it up to about 65 on the highway. Engine runs fine.

1984 fj60 with 92,000 miles on the odometer. I have enough paperwork on the car to support the mileage. It is not being used and needs to be in the hands of someone who will enjoy it; it had around 70,000 miles on it when I bought it and I have had it for six years or so.
The car shows no rust, the upholstery have no tears or worn spots; the carpet is stained and should be replaced. It is stock original and has not been modified in any way. The body is good, but...

Motor was rebuild 30k ago. The block and piston was replace due to crack in the block. There are receipt for the rebuild.
Its has power windows and mirrors.
The body does has rust spot. THe FJ is in really great shape for 22 year old!!

Selling my 1988 FJ62. I bought it from TLC in 1999, and it has been very well cared for with light use (no off road) since then. The truck has 169,000 miles on it, but a new engine was installed in 2002 (including new factory short block), and I have driven only about 30,000 miles since then. Engine and service since then have been done by Waylon of The Toy Shop in San Francisco. Except for some developing rust, everything about this truck is clean, and everything is stock except TLC replaced the front seats with BMW leather seats that provide much better support. Also, the original radio (which I have retained) was replaced with a CD player. It has crank windows. Air conditioning works well. I have all service records...
