Purchased in 1996 from 2nd owner. Rebuilt 2F engine and 4 speed transmission has approximately 500 miles. Mostly original with Vintage Air AC and power steering added. Lights, gauges and windshield wipers work as should and are original to vehicle. New wiring and hoses throughout with approximately same amount of miles as engine. Seats are is great shape, all interior seat frames in great shape. Does need drip edge, driver and passenger rocker panel work, driver tope left floor pan at seam has rust through. Vehicle is a steady and sure running vehicle with 0 mechanical issues to my knowledge. Manual choke with original carb (rebuilt) has always started for me.

1980 FJ40 Landcruiser. 4-speed, 2F engine, in-line 6 cylinder, winch.
1975 LandCruiser - this is the one year with the 2F engine but is still 'pre-smog' so it is the best of both worlds - considered the sweet spot for FJ40s. Straight 6, 4.2 liter engine with a 4 speed transmission and 4 wheel drive. The odometer has turned over so it is difficult to say how many miles are on it (it reads 49,700).
All of the typical FJ40 rust issues were resolved by replacing both rocker panels and rear quarter panels in 2021. This included floor and rear deck repair. The back half has been recently painted with grey primer after the new panels were installed. The rest of the FJ is 'cactus green'. The roll bar was reconfigured to the correct, original roll bar design.

Here’s your chance to own an Icon that will only increase in value. This is a very good example of the FJ-43 Toyota Land Cruiser which is an extended wheel base model over the FJ-40. These FJ-43’s are said to be more sought after than the 40’s because there were less made and they offered more passenger and cargo space. I think it rides better too!
I bought this truck out of a collection in Odessa Texas. It was clearly restored not long ago as the rubber seals, paint, interior etc. are extremely nice.
The FJ has the 2F six cylinder gasoline engine and it runs strong and is clean...
