Anyone with an 80 series Cummins swap have any info on ac lines ? I’m using a sanden ac compressor and am having trouble sourcing the fittings to custom make to retrofit to my 80
I had a local shop build me a few hoses between the condenser and compressor and between the compressor and firewall. I have some photos on my build thread but you are also welcome to give me a call and I’ll help you get it sorted out.

  1. 1996 LX450
  2. Drivetrain - 1HDFTE, H152F
  3. What went well - importing the JDM HDJ100, minimal downtime when I had all the parts, 3-4 weeks total.
  4. What was difficult - Logistics around the wiring harness, who to trust in Australia.
  5. Mods - small lift, 35's, PDI intercooler
  6. Driving impressions - More power than my tired 1fz-fe, louder diesel sounds in the cabin, cool boost sounds. Easily cruises at 80, pulls hills nicely, a joy offroad.
  7. Fuel consumption - ive estimated between 20-25mpg, we'll see how accurate that is.
  8. Overall difficulty - ** Easy to moderate? Hardest part is sourcing everything.

Yea already done!! 4,000 on the swap

What did you end up doing? I saw there are “ez connectors” which are origned, and don’t require a press to make custom AC hoses, so I was going to do that. I also found a few places which sell denso AC pad conversion to “standard” thread connectors.

Also, what starter did you use?

Made my own AC lines with adapters and I used a 6.7 Cummins starter
