I realize a price is very important but I seriously am not sure what to ask. Is $3500 out of line? I saw one for $3000 in way worse shape. I had intensions of restoring this but have realized I just don't have the time. I'm on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. It's got the 3b without turbo. Has rusty rear quarters. Very straight unbeat body so once the rust is repaired would be a great rig.
Hello all, I have up for sale my 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ70 (Heavy Duty/SWB/HT) CDN edition diesel (5 speed manual left hand drive). I purchased the truck in June of 2013 from the original owner and have repaired all the typical land cruiser rust problems and other small but significant basic mechanical things. Both the driver and passenger floor panels have been replaced, painted, rust coated. There was some fairly significant rot at the time so decided to replace both. The back floor panels are in great condition. The frame got a complete professional restoration and patched in weak areas, flushed and coated with rust protectant. The floors and frame cost me a lot so need to ask, close to 3,000, and without it the truck would not...

Hi guys,
I'm mostly an 80 series guy, but recently I was intrigued by a 1986 BJ70 LHD which is not far from where I am, and eligible for import. Almost 400K km on the clock, however the owner says the diesel was "rebuilt" less than 200k km ago. 5 speed, rust is very minimal, frame is good, glass is good, new tires and brakes. Sorry, I don't have permission to post his pics so I'm not going to, but overall a fairly decent/clean looking little rig.
I really have no idea what these are worth, but after looking around here, I get the feeling that the $8k he wants is a bit steep for this truck. Can someone with more knowledge than me confirm/deny this for me?

Finally time to part with my 1988 bj74. It has been a weekend driver for me and I have kept it in the garage. It has a small leak between the xfer case and transmission. It has a footprint the size of a quarter after it sits for a week. Some rust bubbles appearing around the wheel wells. Transmission shifts well. The previous owner never disconnected the annoying safety beep that goes off when you drive over 62 miles (100kms) per hour so it has not been driven constantly on the freeway over that speed.
Previously serviced at EBI cruisers in B.C.
JDM stainless bull bar has been professionally installed and Hella Fog lights are mounted in the center of the bar.

Seems a little high on price, but the km's are low for this era rig. I would want more info about the bondo, rust repair on both frame and body. I think I remember seeing this for sale a year or so ago, but I don't recall where, the details, or the price.
Anyway, I figured it may be worth a look, especially if Neil Young sounds good in it!

It has never been re- painted, it still has the factory original paint job. it has never had any body work done.
I am the third owner, the prior owners, (one of which is a mud member) never drove it in the Canadian winter. The 2nd owner brought it with him to N. Cali and was always garaged. I bought it from him and garaged it for the winters. I have wheeled it on the Rubicon and Alaska Cruiser Trek 2010 so it has minor dings and brush scratches.
I'm sure there are details on the CL ad I forgot, and I will update that ad as I recall them.
