Selling a rare 1982 Toyota Landcruiser 2 door hardtop BJ42. It has the original 3B 4 cylinder Diesel engine. It has 260,000 km on the motor. 24 volt system. 4 Speed manual transmission with the H42. As almost all landcruisers of this year (at least in Canada, anyway) there is "significant" rust on the body and frame. The tub will need to be completely replaced as it had been Bondo filled in the 1990’s. Holes in the tub and an aluminum tub would be recommended. I have had this cruiser since 1991. Some frame work will also be required in the rear. Doors have regular rust on the bottoms; fenders are rusted on both sides, bib, rusted, front window frame rusted. It has a heavy duty custom made short box stepside bed that uses an original Toyota FJ45 tailgate with stake pockets and a diamond plate floor. The front axle is the newer style with disc brakes. This restoration project needs the following: cab floor repaired or replaced, a left fender, windshield glass & frame, cab top bumped out on drivers front corner, engine tune up, exhaust headers. 1977 FJ45 in need of restoration, It has a running F Engine which is stock for the year. It has 2 new doors, 1 new hood, 2 front fenders with lights, It is rusted due to the person i bought it from. I kept this vehicle in the garage for the couple years i started working on it. These trucks are hard to find since their mostly in California and not for sale. As much as I will regret this in 20 years.... 1967 Toyota FJ45 lpb. Original and running straight six. Three speed on the floor and vacuum xfer. Great bed and tailgate. Cab is good with only two rust hole areas (very repairable: see pics). Front panels and frame good. Doors, ok. Early doors are easy to find. I have a 1964 short bed 45 I've been working on for about 7 years now. I think I won't ever finish it and it deserves someone to finish it. Cab was a fixed top cab, now it has the upper half of the back of the cab cut off to look more like the removable top version. Roof panel is gone. Windshield frame and glass are in good condition. Full doors are in good condition. Rocker panels rusted badly. Bed is a reproduction of the stock bed. Pretty good copy. Bobbed 16". I didn't like how much rear overhang it had behind the wheel well- so it cut it off. Bobbed the frame to match. Just behind rear spring hangers. Stock leaf springs, shackle reversal performed. (smog) For anyone from the states- if you are interested, importing for personal use is super easy it will cost apx 3% duty. It is both EPA and DOT exempt due to age. Recently imported 1982 BJ42 LX Native 12 volt system. Not a 24 volt or conversion Comes with engine rebuild kit. It is a long way from needeing it, but I got it in case they got hard to find later. Has AC, PS and all the LX trim inside. (LX models hard to find) LX cloth seats in good shape. Came from desert in Australia so had no rust when purchased. now has light surface rust in a few spots.
