After doing a little research just looking for a hj47 that is priced reasonable. I would prefer a 1980 but let me know what you have. Thanks

Probably even more difficult to find than the HJ45 but I wish you luck.............1978HJ45

I believe you will find that the 1980 was an HJ45 (unless it is an October 1980 production, which would be a 1981). If you want the 2H (HJ47), then you will likely have to settle for an 81-84.

It doesn't matter, hj45 or hj47 but here is the kicker. It has to be under $15000 for that is my MAX budget. I know I am dreaming but maybe it will come along. :)

What is that brown goo on the firewall? .......1978HJ45

Those are some sweet rigs for sale over there! Especially the 12ht one, priced high but worth it IMO. Hard to find these in good cond and expensive to redo over in the USA.

The green one is reasonable and very cool. Shipping puts the prices up.

Keep your eye out the cheaper ones pop up ever so often. Good luck!

Shipping

$3500-4000

Difficulty is moderate to easy, in my limited experience. I personally did mine by myself, and was able to enlist the help of friends/acquaintances on the other side to get the truck from inland to port. I did the customs work myself (just two forms correctly filled out plus your shipping paperwork). It helped that I am less than 40 miles from the Port of Long Beach, a very common destination for RoRo ships.

It may also depend on where its coming from, my shipping was $4850 from the door of the PO interior of QLD AU shipped to my door in Florida-

My understanding is that there are also different rates thoughout the year, so it may depend on when you import as when all of the new cars come over the rates will be more and time will be more. My original quote was under $4k but my truck didnt ship for another 6 months and actually rode over with a bunch of new Toyota's!

Post up a link to the 47 in NC I would like to check it out.

I may be wrong it has happened once or twice before, but i am not sure that truck is really in the USA.
The pictures look like Florida or at the very least somewhere near the shore, Hendersonville NC is in the mountains. Also the picture looks to be very similar to the aussie websites quality. hmmmmm Maybe a mudder can check it out if someone is near. Wonder if it is on the water or even hear yet, or if its a scam.

Did you notice the crack on the DS bottom behind the door? Rust under the clutch master? Nothing major, as the truck looks to have been used, but still strait shape, and a decent price if the rust is minimal, she runs out good and the frame is in good shape, tires, brakes and all the little stuff that will get that price to well over $20k if it needs some work, but you will not know those items by the pictures... gotta go crawl over that one.
