What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Going to try an upgrade of the bulbs in the Toyota headlight—may just do one side to see the difference.

Good job and nice rig!
Does your 40 have a rear disc conversion "kit"? If so, from what company?
@Pighead , I saw you have discs on your 55 in the rear too. Kit?
I just installed new drum brake cylinders (Japanese aftermarket, all 4) in the rear of my 76, and bleeding them gave me ( and a trusted mechanic) fits! Yes, I tried all the tips I could find here on Mud too.
I've done it in the past and never had an issue like this time.
I'm going to be shopping for a disc brake conversion kit soon, to put on the shelf for the next time a brake cylinder leaks or can't be adjusted.
I think my 1979 fj40 rear brake conversion kit came from coolcruisers if I'm remembering right. They take toyota pads tool which I liked.

You could probably turn that RTT into the actual top.
For sure I’ve thought of that. I was thinking the same thing. I’d have to remove the “roll” bar though and I’d likely lose headroom unless I hinged the floor to fold back in the front third of the tent bottom.

Installed a Gamiviti rack on the ‘71. Bigger battery, battery cutoff and bumped the Sniper idle and she’s happy.

That Gamiviti looks to me like the most practical 40 rack out there. The Conn-Fer and it's descendants might be more classic and period correct, but honestly the Gamiviti seems more day-to-day useful and I like the minimalist styling. If it will fit under the garage door of my new house, I might have to buy one.

Lots of build options with this rack as well. The Owner wants an attachment point for a hardtop lift, this will fit the bill nicely.

Is there an ID measurement on the hub? Like someone somewhere drove out to Vegas with the parking brake on and eventually replaced the shoes with zero benefit?

Two hours and $650.00...
Doesn’t seem bad. In ‘05 I was quoted $700 for a basic exhaust on a ‘71 GT6… no stainless steel. I ended up doing it myself… one 90* bend, 6’ of pipe, a 20* bend, a muffler, a turned down end, and a couple exhaust hangers with clamps.
